he looked at my PSA (4.8 and it had been floating around that value for 10 years now) and decided that I needed a biopsy. no time to take a personal history. no questions about symptoms. only as an afterthought inquired about any family exposure (there is none) and he did a rectal exam, which turned out negative. most of the whole 10 minutes of the visit was spent 'selling' the surgery (in which he has a financial interest). it could have been a television for all the effort he deployed. I am at an age where I am likely to die of other causes before any prostate cancer has a chance to kill me. I would not recommend this practitioner and will be looking for another physician.

Was very happy with Dr. Patel. He has a great bedside manner. Takes his time and explain things to you. The staff at AA urology was also great! Overall Dr. Patel took what was generally an unpleasant issue to deal with and made it as absolutely good as it could’ve been. I would highly recommend him! He will be my urologist from now on.

Doctor Patel is awesome! Best experience I've ever had with a physician. He explains everything and is really concerned about his patients well being. I would highly recommend him. Absolutely wonderful care, and fantastic Doctor!

I have seen Dr. Patel on two separate occasions in Melbourne, Fl. He took symptoms seriously and did the necessary testing to ensure that there were no serious issues. He and his staff are professional and friendly. He takes the time to explain the process and what will be happening. Although I was nervous about the testing they were caring, understanding, supportive and helped me to relax. I highly recommend Dr. Patel.

I have been treated by Dr Patel and in his haste he did not do the necessary testing to find out what was happening with my prostate cancer and rushed to biopsy and recommended radiation which basically destroyed my urinary system.

The moment Dr. Patel entered my hospital room I felt safe and calm. His presence emits strength, calmness, and knowledge. After my surgery he called my family not once but twice to keep them informed and answer all their questions. I give him 6 stars out of 5 stars. He spoke with me afterwards and gave me all the time I needed to get my questions straight in my head. He was simply amazing!!

Fortunately for me, Dr Patel is now practicing medicine in Melbourne, Florida. He is amoung the best urologists who have ever treated me and that included my urologists at home in Boston who are affiliated with the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. I would rank Dr. Patel up there with the very best urologists in the world. It was my lucky day to get Dr Patel after requiring emergency medical care away from home. Thank you Dr Patel!
