List of Vrinda S Hershberger's Reviews
Dr. Hershberger has been an outstanding doctor. She has got a great crew around her. I like her direct, forward, and thorough care because I always know how my eyes are doing.
Dr Hershberger is very professional and knowledgeable all of her staff is great...a extra shout out to Erin, Traci, and Liz
I was a participant in a drug trial for four years under the care of Dr Hershberger and her wonderful staff. I had gone in for my routine eye appointment when it was discovered that I had severe wet macular degeneration. This is when I first met Yvonne and Dr. Hershberger. They explained the severity of my problem to me. Showed me scans. Showed me what was normal and what was not. Everything was explained in a manner so that I could understand the situation and what I would need to do. They answered all my questions and calmed any fears that I had. I was offered a chance to participate in a drug trial if I met the criteria. Fortunately for me I did. For the next two years I had monthly visits. Elisabeth tested my eyes. Allison would administer eye drops and do mounds of paperwork to manage my case in the study. Dr. Parihar with Tracy’s assistance would do my eye injections. The first few times were scary but the staff always helped me to relax. The final two years of the study I would have injections every two months. Over those four years other staff members would be involved in my case. Joanne would do scans and Danny would help with injections. Elizabeth remained a constant and I was always grateful for her care. She would be the first staff member to care for me each visit and she is a warm and caring person. Raymond and Joanne put me at ease during the scans. They were always friendly and would always greet me when the saw me waiting in the halls. Tracy and Dr. Parihar took the fear out of my injections. That part of the visit almost became the easiest. Dr Hershberger was there for all my visits. Checking my eyes, reviewing my scans and making sure all the endless paper work was correct. She kept me informed of my progress after every visit and because of her, the staff, and the studies she is dedicated to, my vision has improved immensely. I am very grateful to Dr. Hershberger, Dr Parihar, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Raymond, Joanne, Tracy, Danny, Erin, Allison and all the other staff members who took such good care of me during these past for years.
Dr. Hershberger is an amazing doctor. If it wasn't for her I would have lost my eyesight. I am forever grateful! Thank you Dr. Hershberger
We had an appointment with her on 09/12/23, and was a bad experience. Her approach is not patient centered style of approach, she approaches this as she is the “know it all” in the room. She has attitude with every question we asked and doesn’t really see her patients as humans, but just money makers for her. For all these reasons we changed the doctor. If anyone is a first time, please don’t select Vrinda as your doctor, do what you can to select another doctor, you will be much more cared for.-Thanks
This doctor is extremely condescending and leaves her patients filled with fear and no solution. She no longer provides eye surgery for patients and we only found out after being referred to her office as she is the only one in her specialty who resides in Melbourne Florida. That’s not the problem, the problem is how she handled a situation and left a patient with more fear than they came in with. After notifying the patient that she could not help them as she no longer provided the necessary surgery which she had done years prior for the same patient, she informed this patient that her case was threatening and would cause her to lose vision and listed every con about the situation (no pros no hope no positives), knowing that she could not help nor could she refer her to someone who could help. She literally jumped to worse case scenario and drilled it into the patients head. I get being upfront but some things are better left alone until an exam is done (which she didn’t do she just looked at a non specialists x rays) So instead of assuming the best until presented with the worst, she provided the patient with fear prior to anyone, knowing what the outcome would be. In my experience, this is not a doctor this is somebody who wants to be right, make you feel stupid or “non-proactive” (even if you make appointments asap) rather than the actual care of their patients. I see why the reviews are so low…. Also in my experience, a Negative Nancy Doctor with poor reviews is someone to RUN FROM. This isn’t CARE. She wants to be right and wants to scare you. That’s the last thing you want when you’re already scared!!! And looking for hope in you’re situation. She is the embodiment of Googling your symptoms and reading the four worst possible outcomes and thinking that’s what’s wrong with you.
Dr Hershberger and her staff was very accommodating when getting eye injections when I've two different kinds of stage 4 cancer love you and God bless Grover Taber Jr.
I have never had such an unpleasant experience with a doctor before. I asked her a question twice as I was still confused. She replied me condescendingly that she had already told me twice. The way she talked to me was harsh during the visit. The exam was painful too. I was so uncomfortable with her and so afraid to have her do a retina laser on me. After talking to few friends and did some research, I ended up finding another doctor who is a retina specialist in Viera. I was treated with much more care and comfort. I wish my eye doctor referred me to the retina specialist in Viera at first place.
Worst experience! I went to her because my optometrist confirmed my eye sight was getting bad fast yet he couldn’t find a reason why. The tests were minimal and her time spent with me was maybe three minutes. She blew me off even when I stressed to her that I can’t see at night because the headlights are literally blinding plus my regular vision had gone from 20/30 to 20/70 in less than a year. Imagine that? An eye doctor completely blowing off your significant concerns that I’m losing my ability to see. Since she supposedly ruled out any diseases of the eye I had an MRI and CT scan done thinking it was neurological. Desperate for answers as to why I was going blind at 50 I went to another OD who specializes in neuro eye issues who picked up on Posterior Sub Cataracts. They happen in younger patients, make the eyesight deteriorate faster than the other types and cause lights at night to be blinding not a halo. I wasted money on contacts, many months of being stressed out, had unnecessary radiation & a lot of expenses due to her choosing not to listen & her complete incompetence.
Horrible bedside manner. Does not take any time to explain anything. Pretty rude and condescending.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
