Very good Doctor and well caring she also send you to the best doctor there is
Doctor Gu. Has been very effective In keeping my wife alive. She has been taking care of her for a few years now. My wife is in a nursing home In Melbourne. Those are The ones that don’t follow orders. They don’t report to the doctor like they should. I believe my wife is very dehydrated and needs an iv to get some fluids in her. The nurses can see this. And my problem is I can’t locate Dr.Gu number to get a message to her. This way my wife will stop vomiting. They keep giving her MiraLAX that is dehydrated her where she can’t keep nothing down. But as for Dr Gu she is amazing A will definitely help Your loved ones. She actually does care A does the best she can. But she is only as good as the info she is given from the nursing home. My experience at this office has been nothing short of the worst experience of my life. I was fraudulently charged a copay even though my insurance (TRICARE ACTIVE DUTY) has alerted the office that I in fact have no copay. During my very first visit to the office (January 3rd) an office worker Tracey told me that in all her years of working in healthcare she has charged every single person seen in the office a copay that has tricare and I couldn’t possibly be an exception. She stated “I just ran your insurance 2 days ago and it said you have to pay this copay” wanting to avoid anymore confrontation I went ahead and paid the copay and asked to be granted a refund once my insurance was contacted and straightened it out. Over a month later I came in for a follow up visit (February 11th) and mentioned to the doctor (Dr.GU) that I spoke with my insurance & my copay is $0 and have yet to be refunded. She responded, “I need to wait for an EOB '' I explained that my insurance informed me that my EOB was sent over to the office as of February 4th, 7 days prior. She said she would get my refund in the mail shortly. Today (March 7th) I called for an update on the refund. Tracey says ‘The doctor is out of office for the week. I gave her the request for the refund but she returned it to my desk without completing it. I will talk with her again when she returns.” I stressed the fact that this has been going on for months at this point and my insurance is asking me to file a complaint against the office due to all of this back and forth and seemingly fraudulent activity. Also due to the fact that as of 2022 the copay amount for any other plan with copay is no longer the dollar amount I was charged and in fact much higher. So there was no way to even confuse the amount I was charged when that rate did not exist. I am also in constant communication with the insurance company being updated on claims and the EOB. She then retracted her statement from January 3rd which was that she ran my insurance and was told to collect the copay. Now she claims the “system was down so she just charged the copay as a precaution” she then proceeded to scream that she “Does not care what i do. Do not return to the office. Go ahead and file my complaint.” then proceeds to call me a “Twat” before hanging up. I would not recommend anyone visit this office to avoid being treated like this. No one deserves to be verbally abused for simply not wanting to be fraudulently charged. If you are assigned to this doctor already I also recommend that you take a closer look into what you are being charged and make sure its accurate. **I would like to add in that the Nurse in the office (Laura) was absolutely wonderful. She seemed to really care and have a nurturing spirit and made me feel like I was being heard especially being pregnant for my first time completely alone in a new state while my husband was deployed. I wish Tracy would not have left such a bad taste in my mouth because Laura was wonderful.
Dr. Gu is very nice and it seems like she cares for her patients

Horrible! She’s a good doctor. But it seems as though the office staff have taken over the practice. My son is critically ill, in hospice. I’ve missed appointments, but for medical reasons. The first was because I was on hold waiting for his doctor to issue a letter qualifying him for hospice care. The second was because I had requested an office appointment. At that time, I had told the office manager that I had long haulers Covid, but that I was just tested with a negative finding. She started screaming at me, you can’t come into the office with a positive test result. I suggested that she look it up, she started screaming at me again. I submitted my negative test result to her office, along with the diagnosis from the urgent care center.. yesterday and came today, I told her that my son is dying, then she said that she was not going to argue with me and slammed the door in my face. IF I AM TOO FOCUSED on my DYING SON, then FIND ME GUILTY AS CHARGED
Dr Gu is a good doctor. However, her staff are arrogant and without compassion. When I missed appointments, I tried to explain that my son is in hospice, the staff person slammed the door in my face. The first appointment that I missed was because I was on hold for three hours trying to obtain a letter recommending hospice for my son which he had to have in order for him to receive the proper medical care which he needed. The second time was because they were denying me an office appointment after I had been diagnosed with long haulers Covid. When I told her what I had and that was why I needed an office appointment, she went into a rage. When I suggested that she look it up, she started screaming at me, saying that she wasn’t going to look it up. She screamed at me, saying that I couldn’t come into the office with positive Covid test, even though I had just told her that I had long haulers Covid. My son is in hospice and in terrible pain. I let her know that, but she said to me that she wasn’t going to argue with me. Yesterday, I missed my appointment because my son was screaming in pain. I guess your dying son in agony is no excuse for forgetfulness. If you consider becoming a patient here, don’t. Run away as fast as you possibly can Get ahold of yourself and save yourself from these cruel staff
Been seeing her forever. Excellent doctor! Awesome staff!

Dr. Gu takes time to truly understand her patients' needs. She is caring and compassionate. My parent would not be alive if it weren't for Dr. Gu's knowledge.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
