List of Allen Kantrowitz's Reviews
Dr. K replaced my dads VP shunt from Univ of Penn hospital from Medtronic to a shunt that works with your body . You can go through TSA no problem. Have an MRI. He listens and he really thinks about your whole person and what other Drs have said and then you and he make decisions. He is very respectful and cares more than many docs theses day. An easy problem - HES got it. If you have a complex problem no one better to assemble a team and figure it out!
I had an in person follow up after being discharged from the hospital. Dr. Kantrowitz seemed inattentive in the appointment and didn’t give clear guidance on my questions. I called and emailed many times with follow up questions and they all went unanswered. The staff was incredibly rude and never got back to me to follow up even if it was a simple medication question. The worst medical care I’ve ever received in my life which is sad because I am still recovering from a serious brain injury.
Has been very very helpful in managing my spinal stenosis. Professional, yet personal.
After four previous back surgeries I was diagnosed with Failed Back Syndrome; simply stated it means my prior surgeries had a better-than-even possibility they did more harm than good. I was in pain and holding tight to a walker. “Dr. K” looked at my MRI and we sat and talked about my options, my lifestyle, my age, and even my hobbies. I soon realized this man was wicked smart, caring, and genuinely concerned with me as a person and not just another patient. I liked him. We (and it was a decision we both made) agreed on a spinal fusion. This surgery was a lot more involved with a longer recovery time than I had previously. But Dr. K talked me through it all...what would happen and what to expect. A road map Now, just over a year later - I am now up and walking, driving, and looking at travel options again. His staff is professional, personable, efficient, and understanding. I cannot praise them enough. Perhaps my best review is simply … Dr. Kantrowitz gave me back my life.

Dr. Kantrowitz was the ultimate professional! He spent an incredible amount of time carefully going over every aspect of my situation, which was a complicated one to begin with. I have complete confidence in him and his staff, and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of professional medical help.
Dr Kantrowitz is a physician who really cares. Dr Kantrowitz listens to everything the patient has to say. He does not rush to any conclusion until he has ALL relevant information. He is extremely thorough. He answers all questions and explains complex medical conditions and their possible treatment in simple understandable English. He does not leave any stone unturned to "get you healthy". He cares about your overall well being. He and his office staff are by your side to navigate the complex bureaucracy of the hospital to make sure you get all the prescribed services. You are in excellent, safe and very experienced hands when you are Dr Kantrowitz's patient. I very, very, very highly recommend him.
If you want that your health going to be improved make a visit to Dr. Allen Kantrowitz. I get this design 20 years ago and that is why I still working even 74! I was not able even to move and leave without a painkiller at that time... Do not hesitate, this doctor is the best! He helps you and makes you happy again!
Very involved in my situation, carefully assembled team as needed for complex findings, takes the time to explain, great staff. Great results, better than I honestly expected. I consider him brilliant, consider myself so fortunate for his having accepted me as his patient. I highly recommend Dr. Kantrowitz and know that if anyone can resolve your problem it will be him.

The staff was very rude and never got back to me to follow up on any of my questions even if it was a simple medication question. I received next to no guidance from Dr. Kantrowitz and the staff for my injury and recovery. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
