I have been calling their office, at least 6 times in the last couple of months, and always get their voicemail, it does not matter what day or time it is. I have left messages and never gotten my calls returned. It is absolutely frustrating and sad that medical attention has fallen this low. I called another Gastroenterologist, got a human answering right away and made my appointment, the way I'm used to, the way it's supposed to be.

Just know if you choose this doctor you’ll never reach them to make an appt, or for script refills, lab results, condition inquiries or med records. And, if you leave a message you’ll never get a return call and they won’t take care of your request. Even 2 staff members in my new gastro dr’s office tried, to no avail. One finally did get through and they promised to fax my medical records but…you guessed it, nada!

I've seen 5 GI doctors and felt the most comfortable with Dr. Newman. I know you can't really rely on reviews but as someone who rarely leaves a review, trust me when I say this. Dr. Newman has helped me to trust the process. That says a lot.

After my previous Gastro retired I was referred to Dr. A. Newman by a colleague. He is very down to earth and I felt completely at ease in his care. I suffer from acid reflux and other related issues and I feel he was thorough with his course of care.

I have known Dr. Newman for the past 6 years. He has done several procedures. Dr. Newman is very professional and knowledgeable. He listens attentively and answer every questions patiently. I admire that when I have had an appointment for a procedure he arrives ahead of the time schedule. He is an excellent doctor! I happened to visit his office yesterday and I was very satisfied with the staff.

It was impossible to reach Dr Newman when I was in the hospital and I needed him His staff refused to connect me when I called his office He did not return my calls when I left a message. He made me feel like he abandoned me in my time of need. He also did not respond to the message that I sent him on my patient portal for which I paid $50 to sign up for.

Accepting of individualized patient presentations, Dr. Newman is one of the few gastroenterologists I know who makes each encounter like visiting with a trusted friend.
