I am recounting this experience to alert others about the incidents that took place at this medical facility. Following a routine examination, my mother was recommended to undergo an endometrial biopsy (this before any results from her routine checkup) however, due to her prior engagement in the same procedure during the preceding year she declined to proceed with the biopsy unless her test results exhibited any irregularities. Subsequently, she received a follow-up communication informing her she had a polyp. While the polyp did not appear overtly concerning, its removal was advised. Consequently, she scheduled an appointment and visited the medical practice to undergo a hysteroscopy procedure. To her surprise, upon receiving her results via the medical portal, it became apparent that an endometrial biopsy had been conducted instead and not a hysteroscopy, and there was no reference to the previously mentioned polyp. It is important to note that throughout her scheduled appointment, she was led to believe that the hysteroscopy procedure would be executed. Additionally, she was prescribed a medication to dilate her cervix, a process that triggered contractions much like labor pains, nearly requiring a hospital visit. Upon reaching out to the practice prior to her appointment, with the intention of seeking clarification of her the results received, she encountered an impolite and very rude receptionist who communicated in the following manner: "Cual es su problema? Quieres recojer los resultados o, no? y que ella no tenia que darle ninguna explicacion." Such a manner of patient treatment is not only unsatisfactory but also falls significantly short of the professional standards expected within a healthcare setting. It is imperative to emphasize that the appropriate handling of situations involving patients demands a level of professionalism that is empathetic, transparent, and respectful.
