In 2010 and 2011 I was told by Dr ben David he was going to do a gastric bypass for me and come to find out he only did a parcel bypass and been having problems ever sense the hospital he was working at at the time one of his students dropped one of my lungs and that hospital doesn't want to do surgery for me cause of that and I'm dealing and have been dealing with a esophageal hernia for a couple of years now and still haven't been able to find a willing surgeon yet..

Dr. Ben-David is outstanding. Patient, understanding, and a phenomenal surgeon.
It’s a shame that a doctor with so many great reviews has horrible office staff. The people that check you in and greet you are a representation of your office and are the first experience you have with the doctor you are trying to see. We didn’t even get to see the doctor because Scheduling made a ton of mistakes. I called twice to confirm my information was correct and clearly whoever I spoke to just “yes’d” me because they never updated any of the information on the file. I specifically called and gave them my aunts Insurance which she verified does cover this doctor and his office, And because I am her caretaker I gave them my information as well my phone number and my aunts new phone number and her email address. We get to the office to be greeted by someone who told us that they tried calling and emailing us that the appointment was canceled The woman behind the desk had a bad attitude and lacked empathy and bedside manner and was very passive at the fact that we were frustrated that we came all the way from West Palm Beach for this appointment at 9am and none of our information was correct and our appointment was canceled. She told us that we could wait to speak to the office manager, so we did. As we were waiting she was speaking in Spanish to her coworkers very rudely about us not knowing that we understand Spanish. When we got to the back and we did the initial intake with another nurse, she as well had a lot of attitude and was very inpatient. She was asking us information to update the medical history and kept cutting us off when we were trying to speak and answer her questions. The office manager came in and validated our concerns and our frustrations but we were still unable to see the doctor. She told us this happens often which means that they have an issue and continue to not correct it. They told us that they tried running our insurance to get an authorization but her insurance did not cover the visit and when they gave us the paper to prove that they called we noticed that the insurance information they ran is old and not the current insurance card that we provided them with when we made the appointment. All the issues today seem to be a domino effect of negligence from Scheduling, Who did not update the phone number, email address or the insurance like she was supposed to when we called to make the appointment. Leaving them to run an old insurance card that did not authorize the appointment and that made them need to cancel our appointment. That being said the women behind the front desk and the woman who did the intake in the office were still rude, and all of the issues come from their staff not properly confirming/updating. When we got home my aunt called her insurance who again confirmed that they do cover that doctors office and they do cover the procedure that she needs we have decided that even though this doctor has great reviews and we would have love to see him it is not worth us having to deal with a difficult staff like that every time to come in for appointments and that we rather go to an office that has a more trusting staff who diligently has the best interest for the patients
He listened very carefully to my concerns. He explained very well the process to follow and the appointment for surgery was given within a reasonable time for my diagnosis.
My initial appointment went extremely well. Dr Ben-David is thorough, and explains in detail the diagnosis, etc. I felt at ease and highly recommend !!!!
Excellent doctor , excellent experience , safe my husband life …G D bless him , will recommend to every one , Olga Uchitel
Dr. Ben-David is an excellent surgeon, with a good attitude towards patients. He takes all the time needed to explain the situation and the possible solutions to the patient’s problem. I am very satisfied to be a Dr. Ben-David patient. The only thing that I would like for him to improve is communication with his office
Very professional, to the point, gives a thorough explanation and initial diagnosis

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
