As patients, we always give all the credit to the surgeons. However, we forget it is a result of teamwork. And if the work is excellent, it is also because of impeccable anesthesia. Everything has to be adjusted perfectly, every ml, every dose, every counting of minutes. It not only has effects during the surgery but also how you wake up. I can't thank Dr. Howard Wittles and his team enough. I crossed paths with Dr. Howard Wittles, the Chief of Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, when I had to have back surgery. Dr. S. Howard Wittles and his entire staff are beyond amazing. He is essential to Mount Sinai. He is very knowledgeable, sensitive, and very caring. I immediately felt at ease – and felt confident before and after the surgery. He was amiable, thoughtful, and puts your concerns first. He is one of the most caring doctors I have had the pleasure of having. I cannot speak more highly of him and his staff. My experience with him and his team greatly surpassed my expectations.
