List of Skin And Cancer Associates's Reviews
While this center is competent in its primary function, for me, which was Mohs surgery for skin cancer, you learn fairly quickly that it is a sweatshop for both doctors and patients. They put about 50 people in the waiting room and ran through most surgeries in a few minutes. I believe they intentionally miss a little on the first attempt or lie to perform as many surgeries as possible. Because the doctors do not have time to do stitches, they rarely do them. so many of my surgeries did not heal properly. There is a therapy that will facilitate healing but in my case, they demanded I go to one of their partner facilities. This facility does not take my insurance because nobody there really cares enough to check. It is too bad because the doctors are competent but it is a meat market grinding out as many surgeries a day so they can hit your insurance company for as much money as possible. there are just not honorable people.
I've been a patient of Dr. Rivlin for over 5 years. While he and his team seem very competent, the patient experience is consistently unpleasant. Today I went in for my annual checkup and he walked in with 2 students who proceeded to examine me (I was practically naked) without ever stopping to think if I was comfortable or asking for my permission to turn my checkup into a class. I felt like a piece of meat and thought it was disrespectful and inconsiderate. I will take my business elsewhere for sure.
Wonderful staff, always punctual with appts, very professional, led by a great Dr. Highly recommend them!
Extremely profesional and knowledgeable DR.Katz and his team were right on target quickly handled my situation and recommended the right course of action, support staff presented a high level of courtesy and attention to detail... I highly recommend this practice.
Dr Rivlin and Staff are awesome !! Always happy to get my quarterly check up !
Dr Katz gave me his full attention and the time to perform a very thorough exam. I could not be happier.
Great docs for skin cancer, acne, and cosmetic procedures
Knowledgeable, careful, and thorough. I continue to drive 20 miles each way for that.
I have been a patient of Dr. Katz for about 10 years and have always found him to be attentive and highly knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly and is responsive even when questions arise outside of office hours. During my recent exam he found a tiny basal cell issue requiring Mohs surgery, which is how I met Dr. Rivlin. Dr. Rivlin is also highly competent and explains what he is doing, a step that helped allay my concerns. One day post-op and things are going well! Their staff is friendly too. It may take a while to get an appointment here but that is because the doctors are so good at what they do. One minor qualm -the name of the practice is certainly descriptive but it sounds scary!
i had a skin rash (emergency) and my usual dermatologist is on personal leave. after calling several dermatologist who turned me down, Dr. Rivlin staff accommodated me on his schedule within two hours of me calling. Once i got there, the staff was kind, professional and Dr. Ravlin saw me right away. He was assertive and answered all my questions. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
