Abelardo Arango's Online Review Report Card

I have watched this man operate, truly one of the greatest technical surgeons in the area. There is a reason he is a legend among Mercy staff and surgical trainees.

I had a hernia repair with Dr. Arango. He sent me home with an Rx for ibuprofen. When I called back in great pain about 8 hours after the procedure he told me that I shouldn’t be in that much pain and essentially blew me off. The next morning after the surgery I called back explaining that I was in excruciating pain and all he said was that I should go to the ER as I shouldn’t be in pain. He basically couldn’t care less. He got paid for his surgery and that’s all he cares about. I completely understand the opioid epidemic and support doctors not over or unnecessarily prescribing, but after an invasive surgery, I would think that a surgeon would be justified in helping their patients be comfortable while their body heals.

I give Dr. Arango a 5 🌟 because he is one of the best oncology surgeon due to he provided exceptional treatment for my mom.Thank you for removing the cancer from my moms colon and keeping us informed at all time while she was in the hospital and answering all of our questions. Family of Maria R.

Then, I called back, and I was explaining all to another one named Lourdes, and she told me to stop complaining in a really bad way too. It's impossible to get to the doctor this way.
