My 13 year old had a rare form of liver cancer. Dr Tekin and the amazing team at Jackson was able to completely remove the tumor and now my son is cancer free and well on the way to fully recovering. A truly remarkable and compassionate surgeon !!

Turkish Doctor’s pass the most difficult exams and get granted to being a MD after a very very excellent education. . And that’s why, I recommend Dr Akin , and many of turkhis DR’s. They are the best ones no thought !

Miami transplant institute and Jackson memorial hospital, are the greatest! My 2-year-old son had a very rare tumor that was found in his liver and bile duct, in late March. I met with the transplant team in April, and my son was already having surgery on May 1st! Dr. Tekin my son's surgeon is very honest and does not sugarcoat anything, he will be very straight forward which as a parent that’s what I wanted, honesty! I assure you he is the best of the best, from my personal experience ! Dr. Tekin also treats his patient with so much love, always with a smile on his face! dr.Tekin, and his team, were extremely informative every single step of the way! Always there to answer any concerns! They are with you every step of the way !!! EVERYONE in MTI have been so attentive during this journey. My daughter's transplant resulted in cardiac arrest, hole in the intestines, coma, the liver ended up outside the body, collapsed lung, and more. It resulted in a lifetime of torment for both me and her. The mother settled a claim for$4.5 million. This doctor was the lead surgeon on the botched transplant. He lied to me and intentionally misled me every step of the way. Stay far away from this doctor and the fraud and problem-riddled Jackson memorial/Holtz Children's Hospital. I will never forgive this man for destroying my life.

Dr. Tekin and his team are absolutely amazing. My 5 year old underwent a major surgery with him in Early June and he was very attentive to her while in the hospital. He has also remained extremely accessible to us after discharge considering we live 3 hours from Miami. I would recommend him with out a second thought!!

Dr. Tekin and his team are extremely professional. Besides being superbly skilled, he has excellent bedside manner, compassion, and keeps his patients and their families informed every step of the way.
