Doesn’t bother to read your chart before an appointment. Not that I really expect him to remember every patient but he can at least take the time to read the chart before an appointment to at least pretend that he knows why you’re there. On numerous occasions he would clearly show that he had no idea who I was and made me feel like he didn’t care. Would tell me I needed to do an exam and I would have to remind him that we just did the exam together the week prior .. Also very against discussing alternative treatments. It’s always “wait another year” or “why if it’s working?” Doesn’t care if you’re suffering from horrible side effects. Also good luck getting a hold of anyone in the office. The office staff is probably the worse that I’ve dealt with in Miami.
My disabled son been seeing Dr Pinzon for the past 14 years. In my opinion, he is the best neurologist in the entire area. We would like to move out of Miami but unless he is going to come with us, we will be staying here. If it were not for Dr Pinzon, my son would be dead by now. My son has intractable epilepsy since he was very young and over the years, he has seen many different neurologists, most of whom did not show any real interest in him as a person. Dr Pinzon listens to what we tell him about what kinds of seizures my son is having just now since he has multiple seizure types. Also there are several different seizure medications that make his seizures worse and Dr Pinzon is quick to discontinue those, unlike a previous neurologist we saw who almost killed my son by insisting that we continue to use a medication that was clearly making his condition worse. If you have a really serious seizure disorder, you will not find a better neurologist than this man. By the way, I have a PhD in Chemistry and I have no problem reading the medical literature so I am pretty well equipped to tell when the MD I am talking to does not make any sense. You would be surprised at how often an MD says something that is scientifically total incorrect. Dr Pinzon is particularly well educated since he has a PhD in addition to his MD. He never says anything that is complete nonsense unlike many other so-called medical experts. Because of my son's medical condition, I read extensively the latest literature on treating seizures. It is a always pleasure to talk with Dr Pinzon because, unlike most other physicians, he also takes time to read the latest literature in his field. I am a bit puzzled about a couple of the negative reviews. I have never had a problem with the secretary who looks after the appointments etc. I have always noticed that she and the nurses are efficient and kind to all the patients and their families.
Dr. Pinzon is great! If he had better staff I would love it. The nurses and customer service is the worst. I always have problems. Been coming here for years and there is always something. Even just trying to get an appointment is an odyssey. Recently got a different insurance and they won’t let me make an appointment because they won’t accept it, even if I want to self pay. I have to “change insurance” or change neurologist guess what I’m gonna do, but trying to even speak to the doctor one last time to get my records so he can send to my new one is not gonna happen. I can’t even get a hold of his nurse. So get out while you can. I don’t recommend this mess. Plus the hours are ridiculous. If you ever have an emergency, forget about it, it’s not worth the stress.

This neurologist is a joke. The guy can't even fill out a form for work leave properly. On top of that his secretary is just as bad. You call her and leave multiple voicemails to never hear back. She claims that she "calls back and leaves voicemails". Luckily I work for a cell phone so I have the receipts of all phone calls coming into and out of my device. Stir clear from this place.
Has treated me for over 10 years, saw me through a difficult pregnancy and cervical/brain surgery (lazer ablation surgery). Very attentive, professional, and caring Doctor
Unfortunately for me, it was a waste of time, this doctor didn't take interest in my case .
Dr. Pinzon is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. He listens to my concerns and also tries to ensure that all of my questions are addressed. He had taken care of me through diagnosis through several medication adjustments and I know that he's got my back.
words can not express my gratitude for the care and attention DR Pinzon has given my father . He truly has a heart for his patients and his profession .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
