I have been a patient of Dr. Monge's for 20 years. He is a competent and caring Dr. He listens to my concerns and is very clear about his advise on treatment. I have never felt rushed or uncomfortable in voicing my needs. The office can be chaotic and wait times vary, but I believe it's because he takes his time with each patient and does not rush through appointment.

I have strong reservations at the functionality of Dr. Monge's office. And this of course refers to his doctor -patient relationship. i have not spoken to him since the pandemic. But for the past 3 -4 weeks I have tried to get a telehealth conference with him, but nobody will answer. And when there is an answer they just say to call later and dont allow for a message. I have the impression this Dr. is no longer interested in my insurance. But does not communicate. I feel I dont have a Dr. at times of great crises and fear. Will notify my insurance.

Went for a pre-op check; EKG, Chest, blood, etc. Never saw the doc for those tests. Nurse took a few vial of blood and a week later called saying the lab did not run all the tests and I had to go back and give more blood. Another long wait of course. Chest x-ray was scheduled but the office tech left so i was sent to another facility for another 1 hour wait. I was cleared for surgery and had the procedure performed. I was called 5 days after my surgery by a nurse saying the results of the x-rays were in and read the medical terms which i could not understand but translated to "all clear" after I asked for the English version. Good doctor from previous experience but office is a giant mess that lacks focus. Not sure if this speaks well for the doc.

I have been going to Dr. Monge for many years, and only have the best opinion of him. He cares about each patient and takes time to listen to you and answers all of your questions. He is a great with his very accurate diagnoses. I would never leave him.
