I felt like she was very patronizing throughout the whole consultation. There is a lack in empathy for the patient. She said I had IBS & even if they cut me open they wouldn’t find anything. I understand that IBS may not be top-priority case or life-threatening. But at least I paid for the consultation, I would think doctors can at least try to listen to see how they can help the patients. There was no explanation on my condition except that I had “a more sensitive stomach.” I had excruciating and paralyzing pain that’s why I went to the ER. She repeatedly said there is nothing wrong with me, thereby dismissing my pain. My condition has affected my quality of life greatly. I did not feel her intention or effort to help. It was a waste of my money and time.

Dr. Alvarez performed a colonoscopy on me 5/18/2020. She was very professional and informative on my procedure which made it easier than expected..The whole staff from Gastro Health Jackie Casanova who set up the procedure to the Nurses, Anesthesiologist were great at the Surgical center. I have had no discomfort after the procedure and again I attribute that to Dr. Alvarez.

I would describe Dr. Alvarez as very professional, compassionate, caring and no doubt well-educated. She walked me through, step by step, the procedure she was performing on me. I felt confident. Highly recommended her to my friends and relatives. 5 Starts !

Dr. Alvarez is the best doctor I’ve ever had. She showed me kindness and compassion. She is the true definition of a professional and is definitely well-educated. It was an amazing experience to see Dr. Alvarez, she is on time, a good listener who dedicates time to listen to patient's fears and concerns. Dr. Alvarez gives you a sense of security and is very humanistic, really shows compassion and concern to patients.
