Excelente cirujano
Muchas y extensivas gracias. Los felicito.
My name is Camille Valladares. Dr. Stewart did a valve replacement on me one month ago. He is the most genuine Dr. I have ever met. I am 75 years young and thanks to Dr. Stewart I feel wonderful. Thank you Dr. Stewart and your whole team.
Dr. Stewart is an excellent cardiovascular thoracic surgeon. He operated on my husband in 2009 and now again in 2023. Truly a remarkable individual -extremely personable. Explains in great detail exactly what will be happening before, during and after surgery. We can't thank him enough and his assistant Debra Segreti who is also an amazing individual. She made the whole experience go as smoothly as surgery can go.
Dr Stewart was able to perform a valve sparing aortic root replacement. He was very confident about the procedure which put my nerves at ease. Several other surgeons gave me very bad outcomes for my surgery. But Dr Stewart was able to do a successful procedure that saved my life. His team is amazing and they are the best you get for your medical care.
The operation with Dr. Allan was a success, the doctor is a professional in every way, the triple bypass he performed on me was precise and in the indicated time (3 hrs). When I met him he was very friendly, he gave me confidence and above all he respect my request and my Christian conscience to operate without blood. I thank my God Jehovah for having put him in my path.
Beginning with the first call to his office (which surprisingly he answered himself) where I shared me case, to the offer to review my recent images/test results, followed by the initial in-person consultation, I felt Dr Stewart and his team were right for me. During my initial consultation, Dr Stewart, Debbie Segreti and Julio Acosta, each spent time with me to best understand my case (Aortic Root Aneurysm and leaking valve), answer my many questions, and manage my explanations for the recommended procedure (“The David”). The procedure was a success and Dr Stewart was also able to repair - not replace - my leaking valve. All went as planned. During my hospital stay, both Dr Stewart and Julio visited me regularly and provided updates on my recovery and my anticipated release date. At my first follow up office appointment, the team each provided me with care and attention that one would hope to receive after a major surgery. Dr Stewart even offered to share some of the video recorded during my operation. He was flawless in his approach and in the completion of a complex surgical procedure. With his approval I have begun to reengaged life again and I look forward to my continued improvement until I am again back to my healthy lifestyle. Thank you to all the Team for their attention and care. Brian
The whole experience with the doctor was wonderful. Not only is he world renown. But he has great people also at work for him. Took the time to explain everything after my post surgery. Couldn't ask for anything better.
Usually I never write reviews, but decided to do it, because after what I came through, gave me a thought; what if there someone is how I was, scared, frustrated, anxious, in a process to find a right doctor, right place to handle his/her heart into really professional hands. Dr. Stewart performed minimally invasive aortic valve replacement procedure. I was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis. By that time I just turned 58 years old. Being healthy, sporty and having no symptoms at all, diagnose came up to me as a complete shock. The whole life changed, I started the two months search. Finally I was referred to Dr. Stewart by people from one of the European countries. It is how far his name, his popularity and experience spread up to, he is a world-renowned heart surgeon. I live in NY, I spoked with Doctor over the phone, I sent my tests, and after all the conversations, all my fears were taken away. After all my research on how many operations he completed so far, how high is his reputation, and many other important factors, I decided to travel to Miami. Dear Dr. Stewart - professionalism, experience, discipline, personal approach, what else might be said. Well-chosen team, which works as a one, whole “organism” under his complete supervision. From the minute I was admitted on the operation day to the moment when operation started I felt being in good hands. It was a wonderful experience with all people: nurses, Dr. Stewart’s wonderful anesthesiologist and all his assistants. From the moment of stepping into the doctor’s office for the first time, to the moment, finding myself awake in IC Department- everything was even better than expected and promised. Once again, Dr. Stewart is professional, highly experienced, responsible, disciplined in every way. The DOCTOR who cares for the real results of what he is doing for people with his wonderful hands, results that for many people might be an experience when a normal life is given back. Isn’t this a kind of miracle nowadays?
Dr. Allan Stewart prides himself on being a "surgeon of last resort". After 2,500 heart surgeries he definitely has achieved that level of expertise and confidence. I was referred to Dr. Stewart after another qualified heart surgeon politely asked that I enlist a more specialized surgeon. I had a previous complex open heart surgery 20 years ago to replace an infected aortic heart valve. They used a homograft valve and root which was needed to replace extra tissue around the left ventricle. But now 20 years later I was in need of another heart valve and the old cadaver valve was hard and calcified. This presented new challenges for a new valve. To make matters worse, I had come down with an endocarditis infection again. Dr. Stewart actually had several approaches to the surgery (depending on exactly what he discovered once he had a chance to examine the valve). Once he got in there he was able to choose the best approach and the surgery only lasted 3-4 hours. It was very comforting that he was prepared with anything he would discover and then full command over the responding required action. He's a confident person. I think it's a great mentality to have as a surgeon. One more important detail is that he chose a less invasive valve replacement approach and did NOT remove the homograft root which was not needed to get the new valve replaced. This surgical restraint was most appreciated and my recovery time has been very short. (I was off all pain meds in 10 days). Dr. Stewart has a dedicated team around him that joins him for all his surgeries. When we met with his team for the consultation he drew up the procedure options on his computer display. He showed us some valves he had in his office. He took his time to describe the unique challenges and fully answered all the many questions we had. Dr. Stewart is a fantastic option for strait forward heart valve surgery (if there is such a thing...) but if you have anything that could complicate your heart surgery his expertise is even more valuable. My situation certainly had several! Amazing job!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
