What can I say … after years of feeling subhuman because of my condition, I found Dr. Abreu. Let’s start with her personality. She is so bubbly and happy. Now professionally: she knows what to ask and how to make you feel good. After years of going from doctor to doctor, I have been seeing Dr. Abreu for over 10 years and sometimes I forget I have UC. If you have Chrons or UC you should be seen by Dr. Maria Abreu

Dr. Abreu is outstanding. She takes her time and discusses every detail with you. She coordinates with my gastro and together we discuss options. I would highly recommend Dr. Abreu even if you already have a gastro. It's always good to get a second set of eyes on test result. Thank you Dr. Abreu !!!

Dr Abreu and her team at UM are simply amazing. They focus on one thing, the GI system, and they do a damn good job at it. If you are unsure of what your GI doctor is prescribing you, or how they are treating your disease/illness, go to Dr Abreu. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease 4 years ago and I my then doctor was trying to put me on an old style treatment with very bad side effects. Dr Abreu prescribed me Entyvio and now I’m in remission. Highly recommend Dr Abreu.

Dr. Abreu and her staff are knowledgeable and attentive. My daughter has had Crohn's for 11 years and they have been there anytime we have needed them, by phone or email. Even now that my daughter is away at college, they are still her primary GI office.

Referred to me by a GI surgeon.I was told my situation is too dire for him to take me on - Impressed with his honesty.Told I was being referred to a "World renowned Specialist"Dr.M.T.Abreu.After 26 Months of Dr.'s,911's,ER's,Hosp.stays,in house Nurses.I feel I have FINALLY Found Help.Her office made this happen!Thank you again.Unequivocally this by Far is the Most Professional,proficient Place Yet.PS.Bedside manner unparalleled. got recommended here by a friend. impossible to make an appointment!! with this dr she needs to get your medical records first and she will call you go schedule the appt. I called for weeks, left countless messages, requested an appt online, sent over my records several times and nothing. no call back from the dr or the office. I tried for 6 weeks to make an appt w this office due to the lack of gi docs in my area. ended up going to a better office. I can't actually rate the dr since I was never given the chance to be seen.
