I have NEVER had a doctor speak to me the way Dr. Schmidt did. Dismissive, shaming, unprofessional. No room here to list the insulting comments she made. Refused to listen, and acted as if my medical condition does not really exist. No followup planned, not even for basic blood work that I'm overdue for. Asked no relevant questions-- already had her preconceived notions. I left feeling traumatized instead of cared for, but the strangest part was that she seemed in a state of fear herself.

dr schmidt is outstanding primary care doctor. Doesn't rush you and geniunely cares about your issues and listens to you.

Just awful. Also laughed at me and my concerns. Said that seeking allergy and additional testing for a string of lifelong inflammatory conditions would be "a waste of time," and that going gluten free was "just a fad for weirdos in santa fe." I have never left an office in tears but her cold indifference and total lack of professionalism in the face of someone with diagnoses, research, and self-advocacy on her side made me sad for everyone she might see without such tools and resources.

I have been fortunate to be able to have Dr. Amy Schmidt as my primary physician for about 7 years, now and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I understand that she has a full schedule and lots of patients, but I never feel it when I am in her care. She asks me questions that not only concern my health, but also about my kids, my work and life, as a whole. She listens to me and genuinely cares about my wellbeing. I want to thank her for all that she has done for me.
