Worst doctor ive visited in my life, i got referred to him at 13 weeks, i went to the Ft. lauderdale office and south Miami, staff was nice at the South Miami clinic, not so nice at my home office except for Jessica my ultrasound tech, she always gave me a heads up about what she thought my baby could have, i never asked her any deep questions as she a ultrasound tech is not suppose to tell you anything . Not once did i ever hear from Dr. Lai’s about the condition on my baby, till 23 week, which my OB called to read the notes of my visit 10 weeks ago. (Well actually im lying, i did get a bill from the clinic, and when i went to my appointment i was told if i didnt pay, i would not be seen. And i’d have to come back when i had the money to pay, mind you, this was a high risk pregnancy with an abnormal ultrasound that NO ONE had spoken to me about ) after my OB called i was rushed to the S. Miami office for an amniocentesis which was the first time i met and sat to speak to this doctor. What i did get, a $3,726 bill, because his staff failed to submit the proper paperwork for it. After being told the famous “ Insurance will cover it all” Now you call the clinics, and all of their voicemails are full, so its really hard to communicate with them. The one time they did answer, i was asked for my date of birth to check for an outstanding balance prior to any info i had inquire about, mind you, I understand they need to get paid, but for it to be the first thing you get asked about when your anxiety is getting the best of you about test done 2 months ago, is not very tactful nor sympathetic, which this office lacks. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE for my first pregnancy. Would not recommend. Mayb he needs to focus in fewer clinics so he wont jeopardize the care of patients and unborn babies.

Dr. Lai delivered my son 20 years ago. He explained every step of the way, reassured me and was compassionate. I had a cerclage done that enabled me to carry my son to term. I highly recommend him. I will always be grateful for Dr. Lai.

I'm an OB RN and worked with Dr. Lai for almost 10 years at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, and he delivered my three children. That alone can tell you what an amazing doctor he is, but it goes beyond that. He's the doctor that can walk into the most horrific situation, with all the doctors and nurses panicking and calm the whole room down...because we all knew that all will be fine because of his presence and skills. I adore him as a physian and person, you won't find a better doctor than Dr. Lai!

I'm very pleased to meet Dr. Lai, he helped us to have a more positive vision about our pregnancy. He has a lot of knowledge the topic and is very optimistic.

Dr. Lai and his ultrasound technician have some of the worst bedside manners I've ever experienced. I had my 20 week ultrasound here, at which point my husband and I learned that our baby has an abnormality. The manner in which Dr. Lai delivered this information was uninformative, unsympathetic, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Furthermore, he was not actually in the room, but rather, reading the images and sharing information over speaker phone-- further heightening the sense of a lack of compassion or care for how we felt receiving his information. I urge other pregnant women not to seek his care.

My brothers unborn baby had problems with his kidneys. The baby could have had a procedure done to save his kidneys. This doctor said there is nothing that can be done. Now one kidney is not functioning and the other is full of fluid. He is now going to have surgery with another specialist who said if this would have been taken care of since The beginning the kidneys would have been fine. The baby is now at high risk because the other kidney is full of fluid. Dr. Lia who should not be a doctor and as you can see does not know what he’s doing or taking about told them to wait until the baby is born and then take care of the problem. If they would have waited any longer the baby would have never survived. Do not see this doctor. He is horrible. He has no clue what he is doing. I do no recommend him to anyone. He is the most incompetent doctor he should not be practicing
