Wonderful surgeon!
The best orthopedic, he had helped my newborn daughter.Very precise. We are so thankful with him
Dr. Baitner changed my life... for the worst. At the age of 15, I went for a bilateral bunionectomy and it was easily the worst mistake of my life to go see him. Dr. Baitner was definitely not experienced enough to do this surgery on a child and as a result, I live in absolute agony. The surgery itself was extremely difficult and painful. I had post operative complications with the initial procedure he did on my right foot and had to be put under a second time to remove a metal pin he said would just slide right out a month after the surgery. He then decided a different approach on my left foot by placing permanent metal implants. Both approaches were detrimental to my feet.My right foot has severe arthritis on the joint of my big toe and no range of motion. I can't walk properly anymore, I walk on the sides of my feet as my toe cant bend properly anymore. I can't walk long distances, I can't run, I had to give up my career in soccer, most leg exercises have to be modified, standing for more than a few minutes or having my feet hang off an edge shoots pins and needles throughout my foot especially around the HUGE scar I was left with (which by the way, can't even be touched without me getting lightheaded from the pain). And heels? I can't even look at them. As mentioned, he placed a metal pin that stuck out from the tip of my big toe that traveled all the way to the middle of my foot. After a month, this pin was to be removed by just pulling it out in the office which it didn't. After having my freshly broken foot tugged on and pulled on by this pin that would not come out, Dr. Baitner looked at x-rays and scratched his head at the fact that he had NO idea why it wasn't sliding out. I had to be put under a second time to remove this pin. Any doctor I've seen after this surgery, orthopedics, podiatrists and DPTs can't understand his approach by letting a joint that moves as much as a big toe heal perfectly straight. To them, it was obvious I'd lose my range of motion the way I did... but it wasn't obvious to Dr. Baitner apparently. My left foot was a surgery that took place on a later date. He was confident his new approach would be better, would leave out the unnecessary pain. He was very wrong. Rather than placing a mental pin, he just placed metal implants to hold the bone in place. Because of this approach, my foot is actually still disformed but now I wear a scar that is even more painful than the one on the right foot. Of course, physical therapy to massage the scar wasn't an option as the screws holding the plates were so close to the surface of the skin, any kind of massages would just aggravate the nerves. My feet are now different sizes and require different shoes in most cases. I was off my feet for almost 4 months in casts, most podiatrists have their patients WALKING in for physical therapy in 2-3 weeks. It's been almost 10 years and I can't remember the last time I had a day where I wasn't in pain and my quality of life changed forever. I saw Dr. Baitner about 2 years after the second surgery in tears, he told me these were all risks that were told to my (by then) deceased, non-English speaking father with no translator. He said I'd have to beg him to consider a corrective surgery and referred me to a neurologist (great alternative for an 18 year old, let's get her hooked on pain meds because he messed up). I wouldn't let him get near my feet, I regret the day I agreed to do this surgery. I was a child at the time and my parent's were convinced because of his stature and his employment is such a prestigious children's hospital that this would be the best thing for me, but he had no business doing THIS surgery.
Our son has been seen by Dr. Baitner for the past five years and I wouldn't trust any other doctor. My baby was born with an extra digit/toe in his foot and had surgery at the age of 1. Dr. Baitner did a phenomenal job and my son can walk and run like a normal kid. We go for a yearly follow up at Miami Children's and he always takes his time to evaluate him and answer as many questions I may have. He is very patient and caring towards his patients. Thank you Dr. Baitner for all you do, my son could not have been in better hands!
I have been going to this Doctor for 5 years since my son was born. He is the best Doctor and he has the best team! I am thankful for his attention and his professionalism. I recommend 100 %.
We love Dr. Baitner he has made a big impact in my daughter's life.
After having a very poor experience at another children’s hospital we were blessed to come across Dr. Baitner. He not just fixed the wrong doing from the other Dr . But he did in a very caring and honest way. My daughter and I were very happy with the amazing results. We now can focus on her recovery.
Great experience thanks doctor
I do not know about Dr.Baitner himself, but dealing with his office and his assistant Mrs, Abregu is really an aggravation. Their incompetence and disregard for my daughter well being is really unacceptable. Since I decided to have the studies they ordered done in a place that my insurance would cover ( instead of paying a fortune at their hospital) apparently they decided to punish my daughter who has been without a diagnostic for over a month now. Absolutely unacceptable and unethicalRolando Epstein
Dr. Baitner started treating our daughter at 11 days old. We are now at 17 months. From the moment we met Doctor Baitner, there was no doubt that he would be the doctor to help and guide us through with our diagnosis of clubfoot. Treatment started immediately. He was clear, compassionate and meant business when it came to our daughter's correction (which has been achieved). He is well versed in the most promising method used to treat the condition. We are thankful and forever indebted to his mission and dedication. We see it and experience it at each appointment with our daughter. Each procedure recommended has brought us closer to our daughter's correction. Office staff and environment is second to none. We feel blessed coming to our appointments and in having a doctor that we trust and respect. Thank you Doctor Baitner and your wonderful staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
