List of Brian Tse's Reviews
Dr. Brian Tse told me that he often has problems with other doctors and disagrees with their opinions. It really rubbed me the wrong way and made me want to run out of his office. Major red flag! I prefer a doctor that listens to others and can work as a team. In the end, Dr. Tse was wrong and my other doctors were right. My disease did not get worse and improved significantly on its own. He argued about my bloodwork at one point in our conversation and would not explain the results of my CT scan. He also gave me misinformation about my disease and recommended a major surgery that I did not need. Another doctor from Bascom Palmer had a better understanding of the disease and went over all of my labs imaging, and treatments in a thorough and kind way. I’m sure in an emergency, Dr. Tse is an excellent surgeon, but his relational skills and his diagnostic skills need work.
I had to have fat removed from my eyelid that was medically necessary. Dr. Tse initially told me what he was going to do take some fat out and then lift the eyebrow. I totally agreed that was that. Next visit before the surgery he says to me you know I think I could do this without the eyebrow lift just taking the fat out and I said absolutely not if you do that my eyebrows will be down on my face and I want it done properly he said OK fine. Day of the surgery when I wake up in recovery I can’t see out of my right eye it’s blurry I thought it’ll clear up by morning no worries. It never god clear so I walked into Bascom Palmer with 2020 and walked out with 2040 which is documented and then Dr. Johnson the Director tells me well this happens once in a blue moon about the vision and I said oh really with all the release forms that I signed that was not one side effect don’t you think that sounds like a lawsuit doc Then went on to let me know that all the vision could probably be fixed with some Lasik but that will not be considered medically necessary for Medicare so you will have to pay that out of your pocket to fix this! Then he goes on to say that I have little baby Cataracs that if I want this to be taken care of medically necessary for Medicare they could take my cataracts out now and they don’t have to get ripe like they used to! You are lucky there is no malpractice for this I already checked and I am lucky that I have free speech!! I am going to go viral with this to every facility he is with, the board of ophthalmology, his schools, credentials, contacts and Medicare.........for starters. How a Dr. can ruin a persons perfect vision and mess up the eyelid surgery at the same time and get away with it is sick! JUST NOT RIGHT! He will know who this is from I assure you!
I came to Doctor Tse because nobody gave me any valid reason why my eye hurt. He knew right away. That night I got a full night sleep, something that that I hadn't had in years.
I had a terrible experience with Dr Brian Tse. He has no bedside manner, no patience, and certainly no compassion. He replaced an eye weight in my lid, but used a bigger one than the previous one, and it came out of my lid! I called for his help and he never bothered to call me back! He should have known that my eye lid wasn’t “ready” to have a procedure that quickly.
We traveled far to see Dr Tse. He removed a growth from my daughter's eye. My daughter is legally blind and only has a small amount of vision remaining in this eye, so we were very concerned about surgery. Everything went perfectly.
I went to see Dr. Tse after being tested by my primary Dr for 2 years with no diagnostic. Dr. Tse was wonderful and tried to set up appointments to get me tested right away, without any waits he diagnosed me with a brain tumor. Dr. Tse knew how big of a surgery I needed and showed his concerns and cares about me at all times, he always made sure I was doing well physically and a emotionally. The surgery was a success and I highly recommend Dr. Tse. He is the best!
I went to see Dr. Tse after being tested by my primary Dr for 2 years with no diagnostic. Dr. Tse was wonderful and tried to set up appointments to get me tested right away, without any waits he diagnosed me with a meningioma and then referred me to Dr. Morcos as they would both had to work together because of the size of my tumor and location. Dr. Tse knew how big of a surgery I needed and showed his concerns and cares about me at all times, he always made sure I was doing well physically and also emotionally. His knowledge and confidence gave me peace of mind that everything was going to okay. The tumor was affecting the optic nerve to the point I was already loosing vision from one eye, the side of my face was swollen because of the size. Dr. Tse worked on the bone reconstruction doing an implant in replacement of the bone he had to drill due to the tumor damages. Since I met with Dr. Tse he gave me the confidence and peace of mind I needed for such a big procedure, my family and I were a little concern and worry about the whole process including recovery and everything went well. Surgery lasted 5+ hours but the following day I was walking and getting transferred out of ICU and released from the hospital the 3rd day. I am very thankful to God and my doctors for my great recovery and being able to perfectly see from that eye which I had lost vision from. I highly recommend Dr. Tse to everyone in need of an ophthalmologist, he is the best!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
