First appointment went well and all the test were scheduled. From that point on it was a disaster. Emailed question about blood pressure meds and Dr. Alfonso approved a referral, when I responded and asked for clarification, that was the beginning of his ignoring all remaining questions from me. Had test done and spent all week trying to get his office to return a call so I could make an appointment. The UHealth system will not allow you to make appointment on line, even though they say they do, they just ignore the request. Regardless had to escalate to Patient relations to get a call back. He has reviewed the test done in July but not the test in June, wonder when he will get to that. Decided to change Doctors. Would NOT recommend this Dr Carlos Enrique Alfonso to anyone.

Dr. Alfonso is a caring, highly proficient, technologically superior surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. He communicates well and is very patient-centric. His staff and their followup skills are superb.
