I drove 5 hours from tamp to Miami to see Dr. Carlos Ramirez-Mejia and he was amazing. I have been rushed through every doctors appointment I have ever had in my life and he did not rush me once. He sat there and listened to all my issues and did all necessary testing to help him understand what was going on. He was calm and helpful through the whole time I was there. I highly recommend him to anyone that wants to see a neurologist. Best appointment I have ever had.

Dr. Caused me to go deaf in one ear. Secretary is the worst.NEVER AGAIN

Great first time experience at a Neurology office. Dr. Ramirez-Mejia takes his time to listen and lets me voice my concerns. He is informative and knowledgable, makes you feel at ease when talking to you. I highly recommend him. His staff is also friendly. Secretary returns my calls and is very professional and polite.

Great team. Dr is very knowledgeable and very good costumer service from the staff. Always attentive and willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommend them.

I went to Dr. Ramirez-Mejia to check if I had sleep apnea and ADHD. From the first visit to the appointments in between and the final follow up, I must say that I was impressed by his bedside manners and totally felt right at home with him. Immediately felt like I was talking to a friend which made me comfortable with Dr. Ramirez. Also, I’d like to mention that his secretary Gema was amazing. She helped me pre-fill all my appointment papers and is always pleasant and Informative each interaction. I definitely recommend Dr. Ramirez- Mejia to all my friends and anyone needing to see a Neurologist. He’s truly the best in Miami.

I wish you good luck, for me it was a terrible experience, I give 1 star since I cannot give any at all. I have been sick for over 3 months with no treatment and real bad symptoms that no one has been able to diagnose, so far no treatment, nothing, just painkillers. Have spent out the pocket good amount of money on analysis and others. I was requested by Dr. Ramírez a carotid analysis since it was a huge risk.Trying to communicate with the doctor’s office through Gemma, doctor Ramírez’s assistant, is impossible. She doesn’t answer the calls, neither does she call you back within reasonable time. When she sends lab test orders she may send incomplete, duplicate or old ones. Good luck passing over that barrier.You have to pay the fees (deductibles or co-payments) before you see the doctor even though you have good insurance.The doctor send me some diagnostics that I have done since 3/04/2021 and is the time that the doctor hasn’t go through the results with me because, as Gemma told me, the doctor can’t see me until I do a sleep test.I have to go looking for other doctor to talk about the studios that the Dr Ramirez Mejia requested.I just don’t want that you have a nightmare especially when you are sick.That is my story, probably you will have better luck

No le recomiendo a ningún paciente que use esta oficina si tiene algún problema neurológico la asistente del Dr Mejias no responde a los mensajes ni atiende los problemas .En la ultima consulta de mi suegra por Telehealth el Dr Mejias dijo de aumentar un medicamento para la demencia de la señora y nunca lo hizo realice infinidad de llamadas a la oficina a la asistente Gema y todavía estoy esperando para explicarle pues nunca me ha contestado .La mejor explicación que dio el Dr en la ultima consulta fue para comunicar que a partir del lunes 92 especialistas ya no seguían con el seguro Doctors ,quizás por eso el poco interés ,asi estan las cosas .Creo que la mayor preocupación es salir por la television .Pienselo bien antes de elegir al especialista .

Friendly doctor but the staff consistently gets my wife’s medication wrong and this leads to issues at the pharmacy. Good luck trying to get a hold of someone that is competent enough to send prescription instructions if their office secretary is not in the office.As a fellow Colombian, I would love to give this physician a higher score but I have seen the frustration they have caused my wife over the years. I would suggest you explore all options as this practice has led to many disappointments for my wife that suffers from epilepsy.

Interview with the doctor was fine but I have to wait for an hour and during Corona Virus are not lot of patient in medical offices.
