David Galbut's Online Review Report Card

Great Doctor but appointments are first come first serve wgen the doctor shows up,, so of course everyone shows up hoping to be first , so full waiting room and too bad for poor soul who has to wait Half a day

Third time I've been to Dr. Galbut's doctor's office in the past month. Appointments are normally around 10am. First two visits I was home by 2:30p and 3:30p respectfully. Today I've yet to leave the waiting room and it's already been three hours. What is the point of making appointment times when there's a zero % chance of honoring them within reason especially when all you're doing is giving information that can be done over a phone call (at their convenience)? The sad part is this seems to be the norm in Miami. The positive is the quality of medical treatment met expectations.

Dr. Galbut does not take short cuts. He reviews data directly (looks at the films himself, not just the notes left by others). He is thorough and understandable in his explanations. He is patient and compassionate. He makes decisions based upon what is best for the patient's lifestyle and is a genuinely good person with excellent medical skills. In a field were choices can be life or death, he is worth the wait and my parents, who have the sum of zero patience combined have no qualms waiting for this man referred to as their angel. By God's grace and Dr. Galbut's talents, my father's life and my mother's life were saved. Prior to meeting Dr. Galbut, a surgeon at different practice/hospital botched a surgery and collapsed one of his carotid arteries. This caused a stroke which landed my father in Aventura Hospital where we soon met Dr. Galbut. Galbut guided us through his stroke recovery, explained his rationale for each decision and method and continues to check in on his health nearly 10 YEARS later. My mother, who was overall "healthy" suffered a heart attack about 6 months after Galbut saved Dad's life. The hospital she was at recommended open heart surgery. After Galbut reviewed the films personally, he made an alternate recommendation. She was transferred to Aventura. He referred her to a cardiologist and recommended an angiogram. (He didn't not suggest a surgery that he could have done - he suggested what was best for her situation.) She has no "zipper" and no stents and is doing great 9 years later. Dr. Galbut will always be near and dear to us.

DR GALBUT PERFORMED MY SURGERY IN JUNE OF 2018. HE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN WHAT HE WOULD BE DOING AND POST OP ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS AND PHONE CALLS, ANY TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT. I ONCE CALLED HIM AND HE WAS IN ISRIEL ON VACATION AND HE TOOK THE TIME TO TAKE MY CALL. I COULD NOT RECOMEND ANY OTHER PERSON TO PERFORM OPEN HEART SURGERY TO MY FRIEND OR FAMILY.

I would recommend anyone who has long cancer

Dr. Galbut is an excellent surgeon. He has excellent bedside ethics and he cares about his patients physical and emotional health. I thank God for Dr. Galbut.

Doctor is the best but coming in the office is a real nightmare. The gave me an appointment for 1 pm then they call me for reschedule at 3 Then when we get to the office at 2.45 pm they receptionist said we have to wait until 8 patients go first.This is a disrespect with patients, also she told me if you want wait or go! What kind of customer service is this? And she told me if you appointment is for 1 pm you are late! My hod!They must give a course to this people of customer service skills

If you want your time to be wasted, you must come to this place. Every body is scheduled for the same time. When you get here there is a long line of people waiting in the hallway and the clinic is not open yet . When someone finally come to open up then who was there earlier is seen 4 hours later if you are lucky.!
