After years of meeting with many different Psychiatrist, I was asked to see Dr. Tobolowsky by my Neurologist. I had been diagnosed with Parkinson's' Disease and it was not clear if the tremors I was experiencing were truly Parkinson's. There was the slight possibility I was experiencing a medically induced Neurological disorder. Dr. Tobolowsky was able to taper me off all my prior medications I had taken for many years. It was determined I indeed have P.D.

dr tobolowsky is GREAT! after yrs of being treated for bipolar/major/major depressive disorder (by other psychiatrists) he started me on lamictil, very slowly and cautiously. after a yr, it's still working very well. he is very knowledgeable, professional, and caring; I feel safe and secure when i see him. i wouldn't go to anyone else. THANK YOU, DR. TOBOLOWSKY!!!

He failed to treat my mother's Alzheimer's. Instead, he treated her for depression. Thank God I convinced my father to get a second opinion. She went 2 years with the wrong treatment. The new doctor took one look at her test results (which were given by Dr. Tobolowski) and stated, "Clearly, the results show Alzheimer's." We were pretty sure that would be the diagnosis, but having received the wrong info for two years, we were second-guessing ourselves. Of course, my father is devastated. But at least we can provide the proper care for her now. When a patient states that they are not getting better, a good doctor (a competent doctor) should either change the course of action, or refer the patient to another doctor. Doctor Tobolowski always seemed bothered by the lack of improvement in my mother, when he should have been looking at other options, or consulting her test results. He really dropped the ball on this one, and our family is left to pick up the pieces.
