Dominic Maggio's Online Review Report Card

I was a patient of Dr. Maggio for several years and found him to be the best doctor I ever had. He was always available and caring. Excellent doctor! Unfortunately, he has a very rude and unresponsive staff which was the reason I eventually had to change doctors. I don't believe that Dr. Maggio realizes how rude they are and as a result, believes everything they tell him, sometimes influencing his feelings toward his patient.

I had a lumbar discectomy back in September. Dr. Maggio is a talented surgeon and made this entire process easier for a 21 year-old college student. I was never nervous and felt confident from the beginning that he would help my pain. Dr. Maggio and the entire staff at legacy is wonderful, and I highly recommend!

I came in due to some pain and numbness with my left arm going all the way down to my fingertips, that wouldn’t go away, and after seeing and talking with Dr. Maggio he suggested we start off with injections before we went through with surgery, to see if we could avoid having to do surgery. The injections didn’t seem to work out for me. So we went through with surgery and a month after surgery I felt so much better! 3 months later and feel even greater! All thanks to Dr. Maggio & his wonderful helpful team for helping me with all my needs!

I have been a patient of Dr. Maggio's for many years, and have always found both him and his staff extremely kind and helpful in every instance. He has a wealth of experience and wisdom which he exhibits in his patient communications and care so rarely found these days. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for that personal connection to their physician to help with difficult medical issues.

My husband and I have gone to this office for our annual check ups. Have never been able to see Dr. Maggio as he is always booked. Only PA. They always charge us extra on some technicality. Money hungry office people. Mayras response is always you signed this. You intialed this. They always throw legalities to your face. No human decency. Not worth the stress. Barely making ends meet with Covid and they don’t work with you on anything. No help.

Went in for my annual physical and received a bill. This is supposed to be my one free visit of the year. When I inquired, I was informed that it was because the doctor asked me about pre-existing conditions which apparently made the visit no longer covered under "preventative care." So, let me get this right; I go in for a physical, the doctor asks me a question, I answer the question, and now I'm no longer covered? And no one has to tell me about it?? Unbelievable. In addition, I've called the office over and over to try to resolve this. Just as other people have commented on here, they're rude and unprofessional.

Quite possibly THE WORST run office and doctor in this state. Completely absent and removed from the "quality care" aspect for patients. Do you want an appointment?... Good luck getting one when the doctor is only in ONCE a week and just at Noon. But that's not even the worst part of this entire experience. The office staff is the epitome of horrible. Literally cannot be dealt with. Do you need an emergency visit? Do you need an emergency referral to see a specialist because your in agony? Once again, good luck with that when the office staff have a complete lack of empathy for patients, and fail to have a sense of urgency for the people they are meant to help. Get ready for roadblock after roadblock. Get ready for the most terrible experience with a doctor and his staff of your life. Find someone else. Anyone else. Words of wisdom.

I'm sure Dr. Maggio is great - unfortunately he's not who I saw. I dealt with an assistant named Leonardo Rodriguez - Be extremely cautious of this doctor. He is unethical and does not believe in doctors patient confidentiality. If you have absolutely any prior issue no matter how minor you believe it to be, he will sell you out to insurance companies and possibly cause you to be dropped by your insurer. Be extremely cautious and mindful of what you say to this person - they do not believe in their oath or take it seriously and will maliciously target you if you drop them as your PCP. You have been warned.
