MY BROTHER ENTERED THE PSYCHIATRIC WARD ON A FRIDAY UNDER THE CARE OF THIS SO CALLED DR. TREATED HIM WITH DISRESPECT. DID NOT PROVIDE ANY TYPE OF EVALUATION. JUST PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS AND LEFT. THE FAMILY LEFT MESSAGES FOR 8 DAYS WITH NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. ON THE 10TH DAY CALLED THE SOCIAL WORKER AND WAS TOLD THAT HE WAS BEEN RELEASED AND BEEN SEND BY BUS TO HIS HOME. IF I HAD NOT CALLED I WOULD NOT FIND OUT HE WAS BEEN RELEASED. NO ONE CALLED THE FAMILY. WORST DOCTOR AND EVEN WORST HOSPITAL. DO NOT, BY ANY MEANS, TAKE YOUR LOVE ONE TO MERCY HOSPITAL FOR ANY HEALTH PROBLEMS.

Infamous in Miami for being an abusive doctor, Emilio Mantero has more than 200 cases over 12 years for wrongful and harmful Baker Acts. Even his colleague doctors refer to him as "Nurse Ratched" for his sadistic pleasure in Baker Acting patients to criticize him or disregard his 19th century approach to psychiatric medicine.

I was unfortunate enough to meet this psychopath in 2021. He was insulting to us because we were Asian, and frequently displayed a racist attitude citing "fox news is right about you people". Then he abused his powers as a doctor and tried to Baker Act our daughter even though she wasn't the patient. I actually recorded his voice when he said "I am the sole authority in this hospital, be very careful". I have it to this day in my phone. Even the nurses at Kendall warned that he was known for his hateful abuse of power. This creep is a stain upon American healthcare.

I have lost hope in the US health care system with a this type of doctor that lies, abuse authority and have cero interest in the well-being of his patients. My daughter spent 2 weeks under his mercy without an explanation of his choices of medications, diagnosis, prognosis, or having a clear picture of my daughter’s medical history. Refused to talk to her other physicians and refused to hear my daughters medical history. His staff and nurses have the same approach as him. Please if you encounter this physician, RUN!

The Best psychiatrist I've ever known! He has very deep psychoanalytical skills,which give him a broad depth of perception& awareness,almost immediately,of what his patient really needs,to get better&live their most productive life possible. Sometimes he really gave me a hard time,& I did struggle gradually to improve. I had paranoid schizophrenia& was a chronic care patient,after a lifetime psycholocally& physically abusive parents& relatives,& another lifetime @ the hands of incompetent sadistic doctors,affiliated with Jackson Hospital. After being treated for 10 yrs with Dr.Mantero, I'm free of psychic pain,depression& psychosis. I work now with other trauma patients,part-time as an L.P.N.,& am able to give to my patients,what Dr.M. gave to me--Love,guidance& true healing.

Horrible doctor. Impossible to imagine he gives psychiatric advice. He is rude, incompetent and unkind. Also a liar. STAY AWAY. He treated my family members with rudeness and a total lack of psychological expertise. Shocking.

He was extremely rude and after waiting for two hours and asking him how much longer he answered I see you when I see you, you can wait if you want or not. That is extremely rude and unprofessional. He lack bed side manners. I repeat if you want to be abused by a doctor go to his office. I hope someone with authority takes away his license.

He abuses patients, yells at them and God knows what else he does to them whenever they close the office door. He thinks because he is a doctor he can abuse his patients. He shouldn’t be anywhere near patients, especially psychiatric ones.
