Farid Marquez's Online Review Report Card

This has the be one the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor and practice. I've never encountered such rude, poorly trained and careless staff in my life. I relocated to Miami earlier this year and needed to get a new PCP. My mother recommended Dr. Marquez so I went to him. Since the first visit, I knew my expectations and their service quality weren't a match but I overlooked it to avoid the process of looking for yet another PCP. I should have known better when they handed me a scrap piece of paper that on the back had the printed name and DOB of one of their patients. Eight months later and I finally can't take it anymore. Some things to expect if you decide to go with this provider is waiting 3 hours to be seen (with an appointment) only to have an 8 minute long appointment with no clear answers. He'll just recommend you see a specialist for the thing you're asking for help with. The last time I was in the office and needed to schedule a follow-up visit, his medical assistant was direct about his scheduling and said "just so you know, this is likely how it's going to be next time..." in reference to the half a day's wait time despite having an appointment. I opted for a telehealth session thinking it would be better which was scheduled for late this afternoon. I anticipated not being called on time but after an hour of waiting, I called the office only to be rudely addressed by his receptionist who claimed they called me at 11:20 AM because the Dr. was ready. Apparently you just need to take the whole day off for those 8 minutes with Dr. Marquez. She proceeded to ask for my credit card number for the copay and said that Dr. Marquez would call me back. They proceeded to charge me but I never received a call. Now, I'm out the time I set aside for the appointment, money, and the information I needed to start a medication all because this office has zero clue how to operate or the concept of how appointments work. Completely unacceptable and fraudulent. I've already begun looking for a new PCP because these simply aren't the type of people that should be in charge of anyone's health.

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE KILLED SLOWLY DUE TO NEGLIGENCE WHILE DR. FARID MARQUEZ COLLECTS ON YOUR INSURANCE WITHOUT ACTUALLY GETTING YOU THE PROPER MEDICAL TREATMENTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is the most irresponsible Doctor and staff my husband has ever had to deal with. Thanks to their negligence my husband lost his appointment for his carotid ultrasound that Dr.Farid Marquez said he should have done due to him being an ex smoker and having high cholesterol. In Dr. Marquez's own words my husband is at risk of having plaque build up in his arteries and his office did not do the the due diligence of assuring that the proper authorization was sent in a timely manner. When Dr. Marquez's office finally sent the request for authorization to my husband's health insurance the authorization was denied due to his staff not providing sufficient paperwork. Consequently Dr.Farid Marquez said to my my husband that he didn't need it anyway.

Good and very professional as a doctor and also has a great attitude to assist every patient. He is my doctor for many years.

Dr. Marquez had been our family doctor for years. He is an excellent physician. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a PCP. Please note that for some reason Google is still displaying an old address. His Miami office is now at 5040 NW 7 St.
