Florence Cabot's Online Review Report Card

My experience with Dr. Cabot has been excellent. In office visits she has been thoughtful, informative, patient and good natured. She performed my cataract surgery, which was highly successful.

On my visit today 01/06/2022, I encountered the worst true nightmare with this so called Dr. with no bed manners whatsoever. In my life time, I have never ever experienced a rude, loud and disrespectful Dr as I did today. I cannot believe that a Worldwide known medical organization such as Bascom Palmer has a “Cornea Specialist” working at their facilities such as this individual. My first impression of this Dr as she walked into the examining room seemed that she was angry, in a hurry to examine my eyes with the most horrendous attitude to get it over with. Instead of calmly looking into the system for information that had already been written recently by other specialists and which info was up to date regarding my eye condition, I noticed that she would not know like the medication that had already been prescribed by the Emergency Room at Bascom Palmer and other information that was recently written by my Retina Specialist as well as other doctors from the emergency r

Dr. Cabot was discourteous and dismissive of my questions, concerns, and condition - she was exceptionally rude. If she was graded her bedside manner would get an F. I waited nearly 1.5 hours before seeing Dr. Cabot. When she arrived in the room she was exceptionally short and said there was no difference from the 2017 report. This is in stark contrast to what I was told in Feb. When I asked why there was a difference in the conclusions she dismissed it and basically said that was her finding and was the end of it. As a patient, how do I know which doctor's results are correct when Dr. Cabot refused to explain further. I am now going to seek a second opinion and will not return to see Dr. Carbot. Furthermore, when I asked to put my contacts back in and if I could have the contact solution to do so, she got up from the desk and angrily said, we don't have time for that. But reluctantly, she did go get the solution. To which she said, we need the room there's no time to put your contacts in. Told me to go to the restroom to do so. Which I was willing to do, but then she asked me where I was going because she needed the solution. You can't have it both ways. I did put my contacts back in less than 1 minute in the room. I've been to eye doctors nearly my entire life and have had many visits at Bascom. I have never received such dismissive, poor, and rude care. And I have never received such a response for a fairly standard request to put contact lenses back in after an exam. I would never recommend this physician to anyone. I feel very badly for patients who have to see her that cannot advocate for themselves.
