Dr. Alkhoury is a companionate person and it translate into his work. He helped my husband and I to navigate to a very difficult time of our life during our high risk twin pregnancy. One of the twin was diagnose with CPAM. She had surgery at 5 month old, throughout the whole process Dr. Alkhoury shows kindness and empathic. We are eternally grateful to him and his team of professional staff

We are so thankful for having Dr. Alkhoury as the surgeon for our son. Since the moment we met him, Dr. Alhkoury helps us feel more calm before, during and after the surgery. He is an excellent surgeon and very knowledgeable. He is also caring with the patients and with the parents. After God, we knew our son was in good hands.

Dr.Alkhoury is the epitome of what it is to be a doctor. When I was 20 weeks pregnant, I found out during an anatomy scan, that my son had a bilateral lung mass. I immediately started researching doctors/surgeons that were familiar with my son’s rare condition and found Dr Alkhoury at Nicklaus hospital. He has been more than a doctor to me and my family because from our first meeting, he has brought such an ease and a calm to an otherwise extremely stressful situation. He has cared for my son like no other doctor has and I hold all doctors to his standard because he is exceptional at what he does. He advocated for my son when no other doctors would listen. We faced many new obstacles during my pregnancy and after my son’s birth. Dr.Alkhoury was always available to talk and truly took my sons care as a priority. I had many doctors during my pregnancy due to being high risk and Dr.Alkhoury led them all through my pregnancy to ensure that they were taking the steps to help get my son to full term without complications prior to birth. Once my son was born, and it was clear that he was going to need his surgery soon after birth due to his breathing, we faced other doctors at Baptist Health South Miami hospital that refused to listen to us as parents. We kept telling Neonatal doctors in the South Miami NICU that the mass was still on his lungs, even though it wasn’t showing up on an x-ray, and they refused to listen. They treated my son like a number without a name. Dr Alkhoury supported and advocated for us when we wanted to transfer care from Baptist South Miami to Nicklaus Hospital and made sure that the necessary testing was done on my son. This resulted in getting a detailed view of the mass and led to Dr.Alkhoury completing my son’s surgery to remove it. Even after my son’s surgery, Dr.Alkhoury has been instrumental on advising us through his recovery and what the road ahead looks like for my son. Thank you for all you do, Dr.Alkhoury! You are truly a godsend and a blessing to my family’s life, and I can’t thank you enough!

Our family met Dr. Alkhoury during a very difficult time during our pregnancy and there are no words to express how thankful we are for his gifted hands, as well as the grace and professionalism his team showed us.

I highly recommend Dr. Alkhoury. He is a professional, intelligent, and compassionate surgeon and physician. Above all, he is a good listener. Not only is he a skillful surgeon, but whenever I discuss my chronic condition and its treatment with him, he gives me time to share what is on my mind. Then he asks very good follow-up questions. In our conversations about my health, I feel that he is trying to understand my condition so he can provide the best recommendations for care. He really tries to understand my symptoms and concerns in order to understand my priorities. Dr. Alkhoury's compassion and professionalism are evident in everything he does. As a result of his sound advice, surgical skill, and compassion, I trust him completely with my health concerns. Thanks to him, I have become a better, more informed patient, and my health has improved because of it.

Dr.Alkhoury came highly recommended by other families for a procedure my son needed. There aren’t enough words to express how great and painless my experience has been. Dr.Alkhoury explained the procedure with great detail. I was able to obtain an appointment right away and the wait time was less than an hour.

I have see him twice once in er and then the follow up, my son has a deformity in his chest and is causing him a lot of pain, both time he didn't even examine my son, he sent us directly to another department and when we ask him about what might be causing our son son much pain, he only said it was just bc my son was growing up and that's it, not examination, not test no nothing, very arrogant zero manners.

Dr Alkhoury is excellent, we love him! He has great bedside manners, explains things clearly, never hesitates to answer any questions and really cares (he returns calls even when he is off and out of the country) His surgical skills are outstanding and when asking around who to see in South Florida he came highly recommended by numerous people. He certainly lives up to his reputation! You can not find a better pediatric surgeon; your child will be in the best hands.
