List of Georgiy Brusovanik's Reviews
I found this incredibly alarming and very disappointing. I made an appointment with this doctor based on all these wonderful reviews, and I was very much looking forward to seeing him regarding my spine issues. After I made the appointment, however, I got a phone call from the office asking me to call back. When I called back I was sent around to three or four different people and then finally someone picked up the phone and informed me that the doctor does not except Medicare, except wait, he does except Medicare, but he wants an additional $100 out of pocket in order for me to be seen . I understand he does a lot of pro bono work, but I think it’s beyond insane that people who do have insurance have to pay “extra“ in order to cover the people that do not have insurance and he chooses to help. It’s wonderful that he chooses to help, but I think it’s unethical to charge fully insured patients extra money to cover those that don’t have it that’s really not fair and I don’t think it’s right. I’ve never heard of a doctor doing this before.
I left this review on his website and they removed it, which means they are curating so they only have five star reviews. Flag number one. Flag two, I called there recently to make an appointment which was confirmed for August 17. Yesterday I received a phone call from their office, asking me to call them back, which I did. I was passed through four different people before a woman named Maria finally came on the line and asked me to confirm that I had Medicare and United American Ins., which I confirmed again. She said said "well we don't take Medicare, well we do take Medicare but you have to pay an extra $100." When I told her "no I don't,"she said yes, the doctor requires anyone who has Medicare that they have to pay him directly a $100 "fee". When I told her I have never ever in my entire life heard that, she said, well, that's just what the doctor charges. So be aware, that is the shadiest concept I have ever heard of and since they wiped my review on their website clean, it means all those positive reviews are not real. Patients beware, especially if you have Medicare and/or a support gap insurance, it doesn't matter to them you're still going to pay. This is unethical. Especially for a doctor who clearly makes a huge income, to demand cash from retired patients.
Professionalism at it best. Passionate and very knowledgeable doctor. Very confident and positive energy. Good listener. The best !!!!

I went to see Dr. Brusovanik to get a second opinion after I was seen by Dr. Barth Green (at Jackson Memorial hospital) and told that I needed Immediate surgery or run the risk of being paralyzed... and I'm so glad I did. Turns out I did not need any surgery. Always get a second opinion, and I would recommend Dr. Brusovanik to anyone!, great bedside manners and he presented me with different options to treat my situation.
Dr. Brusovanik is the best Dr. Hands down. I have been suffering with back pain for about 6-7 years. I had multiple mri's done and seen multiple drs. Some said I needed surgery, some said I was dealt a bad hand in life and this isnt something surgery would fix, some have told me I'm going to end up in a wheelchair. I knew that there was no way that my quality of life had ended and this was it. I searched and searched until I found Dr. Brusovanik. I am so grateful for him and his amazing staff. Dr. Brusovanik will sit down and go over everything with you, he will answer all your questions and really help you understand what is going on, why you're in pain and find the best solution for you. I had my lumbar fusion l4/l5- s/1 2.5 weeks ago, once I woke up from surgery I no longer had that back pain I had been dealing with. On day 2 I was up and walking around. By day 5 I was walking down my block going on some car rides and even going to the grocery store. By day 11 I was able to dance for a little bit. These things might not seem like much to some people but I was at a point where I could not do these activities without being in excruciating pain to the point where I could not walk. Dr. Brusovanik has given me my quality of life back. I can't thank him enough!
Dr. Brusovanik was great! He examined me, shared with my my diagnosis and different options for treatment. Answered all my questions and I feel like I’m well on my way to recovery thanks to him. I would definitely recommend him!!

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
