Guillermo Samper's Online Review Report Card

Horrible bedside manner. First and foremost, this doctor has no manners. The first nerve he struck was when he began speaking on the phone without allowing me a word in until I forcibly asked to speak. I am a professional with a doctorate degree and two master degrees and this moron spoke to me like if I was in kindergarten. He obviously does not like disputes on his authority. Second nerve he struck was when he told me the insurance was inquiring as to why they had not discharged my mother. Third nerve he struck was when he told me that the hospital is for emergency purposes only, not for outpatient services. Well, Dr. Semper, my mother has not been hospitalized for outpatient services. She has been hospitalized because she has arrived septic numerous times. Finally, fourth nerve he struck was when he told my 80 year old sensitive elderly mom that she had only two alternatives, either a Foley Catheter or have her bladder explode. Wow, what a gem of a physician you are!I have been struggling with my elderly bedridden mom for almost a year with a recurring urinary tract infection that never seems to cure. Needless to say, I am at my wits end when I am hospitalizing her every two weeks for the same reason. So what do they want to do? Well, send my mom home with a Foley catheter (which by the way she was hospitalized before for one that had given her an infection) and have me make arrangements to have my bedridden mom transported to urologists for appointments and testing. Granted, the last time her primary care physician forced me to transport my bedridden mom for an appointment so he can prescribe her medications, she wound up in the hospital because of the trauma her body experienced. With that being said, her primary doctor got quite a bit of a scare and placed orders that she is unable to be transported outside her home. So, what is it that I want? I want the hospital to run the necessary tests and treatments there so that her health is not placed further at risk. If they would have done this months ago, the insurance companies would probably not have been paying the bundle that they are paying for these recurring trips to the hospital. These doctors and hospitals try to do the quick fix but won't take the extra days for a more permanent solution.So you know what, I am extremely upset because this sounds to me like a good case of malpractice.

My first experience with Dr. Samper was in the ER at Baptist Hospital back in 2012. He has a calm and assuring manner, is professional, and makes sure that all questions and issues are fully explained. I was very happy to find that my new insurance carries him as a primary care physician. I highly recommend Dr. Samper without reservation.
