I was grateful to be able to get into the doctor’s office so quickly after arriving in town with my eyes being very irritated. The office was close to my dads house and I couldn’t imagine waiting until the following day to see if I was feeling any better. I also wanted to make sure others were safe as I didn’t know if this was a COVID or strep infection related matter as we, my brother and his wife as well as my wife, were all in town to care for my extremely sick elderly dad. After Dr. Wallace applied eye drops to my eyes and I received the paperwork there was no mention, conversation, of my having Pink eye, how contagious I was nor advice given to even wear a mask. Thankfully I managed to avoid getting too close to my dad but unfortunately everyone else in the house became ill with pinkeye. We’re all very disappointed and would imagine that if this were to happen again that certainly the seriousness of someone having pinkeye would be properly addressed.
