Ismael Montane's Online Review Report Card

A family member had arthroscopy knee surgery with this doctor at Hialeah Hospital. He still hasn't recovered and I vividly remember asking the doctor before the surgery, "How long will it be until he is back to semi-basic functions?" He said, "it will only be two week." It's been more than a month and his knee has gotten worse. We followed post-op indications as instructed. Now we are on the process of getting a different doctor. And the people here saying that they take care of you as soon as you arrive to his office, it might be due to the low patient volume that he gets. Never go to a doctor's office where almost no one is on the waiting room. I should have thought of that prior to my family's member surgery.

First is a challenge to get an appointment, then when you finally get it and get there you have to wait for more than 3 hours to see the doctor. Besides, the staff do not help any way

As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Montane seems like he’s one of the best; he performed surgery on my 90 year old mother 2 days after she fell and broke her femur. She is healing well with no complications. The only reason I’m not giving Dr. Montane 5 stars is his lack of concern for a patient’s feelings. He claims he’s a surgeon, and states, “if you have questions about anything else, ask your primary care physician”. Dr. Montane did not even look at my mother’s incision, and spent less than 3 minutes talking to her after she waited 2.5 hours for her follow-up appointment. She also had to wait 3 hours for him to arrive to the operating room. She was prepped and ready for scheduled surgery at 8 am but he did not show up until 11:00 am. It was also completely unnecessary for her to go to him for a “follow-up” appointment. All he did was look at her X-ray and he could’ve done that via email. He needs to take his patient’s age and physical ability into consideration. Having her wait as long as he did both times is inexcusable. Dr. Montane is the epitome of an egotistical doctor. However, we are satisfied with the repair of my mother’s broken femur.

I just called doctor office and a lady by the name of Yamilee was really rude , she hang up on my , I called back and she hanged up again. She was screaming she is the worst , does not know what customer service means .she does not have any education at all ! Don’t go there people she is at the front desk and is so rude ! Yamile Es muy mal educada. Más ella no sabe que mi esposo y yo necesitamos operación de rodilla y el doctor acaba de perder 2 cirugías.

Horrible office. STAFF unprofessional and rude. My appointment was for 11am, I sat in that office 3hours. Front desk clerk extremely rude . The staff use curse words infront of the patients.

Mut satisfecha con los resultados de la cirugía y profesionalismo del Doctor. Paciente y toma en cuenta las inquietudes de pacientes y familiares. Mostro a mi hija las imágenes de cómo habia quedado mi pierna después de la cirugía. Me recupero bien gracias a Dios y al Dr. Montanė.

Dr. Montane is a little impersonal but knows his stuff

Never go to this doctor, it is the worst after treating me for two months, I came to the consultation and I did not know where I had already gone, I indicated and even so I was lost, then I asked for the tests to see what his claim was that he had a new program installed on his computer and without any explanation he told me he has to operate on you I got up and said ok "but you don't touch my spine" I'm looking for a new specialist

I have been asking fir my medical records since December 2021 and they declined it to give them to me, a lady with the name of Yamilee is really rude , told me that she does not have my records because they are putting a new system , I told her that since December I’m asking for it and that they should have a back up with the records. At the end never got my records I went to Francisco Borjas MD a orthopedic, that told me that I need therapy not like Ismael Montane told me that I needed surgery , get a second opinion first.

El miércoles 5 de abril 2022 operó a mi mamá ( 92)años de una fractura del fémur se programó la operación para las 7 y 30 am cdo terminó la operación me dio todos los detalles de la operación, y hoy mi madre ya caminó sin dolor con los terapistas. Es un excelente Dr muy profesional y con mucha experiencia . Le estoy eternamente agradecida Dios le ilumine todos los días .
