Jackson Health System's Online Review Report Card

She has been my nurse for the past two days at a time where I am afraid and getting treated for a herniated disc’s she is making me feel comfortable and relaxed. I understand how overworked the ER staff is and how they have to deal with life and death situations every day. So Im not going to complain about any staff because they were all pretty nice. However that said walking in there is what I imagine a 1940s insane asylum must have been like. First of all the temperature. Its Miami and we all love a cool room. No one expects  the death zone above Mt.  Everest. It is so freezing that polar bears would need a light sweater. A nurse told me her feet were numb. It was easily 4045 degrees in there. However thats a situation that can be remedied with some blankets. The real problem is how disgustingly filthy it is. Dirty used bandages on the floor cups of urine just sitting on side tables crushed Cheetos everywhere and thats the clean part. The bathrooms are so bad that you expect Ashton Kutcher to leap out yelling Punkd. Urine all over the floors all over the toilet seats and worse inside the bowl. It was so awful that I was texting my daughter that I couldnt use the restroom and she called them to ask if a bathroom could be cleaned. They DID call I heard the nurse on the phone. No one cleaned. She took me to about 4 bathrooms each one worst than the last. She was horrified also. like  I said the staff was nice.  I get that no one wants to clean the ER bathrooms so maybe that job should be re categorized to a much higher paying  position. Once you actually get admitted and    sent to a room it gets substantially cleaner. The specific team of surgeons that I needed were all at Jackson so I couldnt go to a private hospital. So if you have to go to the Jackson ER bring a coat pee first and take any anti nausea meds you can find. You arent in for a pleasant ride. All the reviews that complain about the staff  seem unfounded. No they dont serve you tea and scones but theyre caring. Just dont go to the bathroom.

I just want to say sainrilia is wonderful from house keeping also my care tech jackie they both go above n beyond for me I feel very pleased to be at Jackson north not to mentioned Marcia the team leader for housekeeping her present was very warm n I love her charm thank you guys for making me feel like Im home.

night they took her to this place who treated her like she was a peace of shyt The vehicle Ran over both feet unable to walk on her own the took the wheelchair from her for another patient. She informed them she cant walk and she will need assistance getting home because she was on her way to the supermarket therefore she didnt have any money. So they never gave her anything to eat or drink since she arrived6 or 7pm and to her she needs to find a way home. They threatened her with security to Escort her out and the nurse lie about ordering security push her outside and letf her alone How you treat your patients . J.Cortes

These people are less than useless and are in reality harmful to people who come in for treatment or call for help. They sabotage you deny any wrong doing and then work tirelessly to cover it up and then lie to you that they will address the issues and never do and simply hope you don’t report them or sue.

Took 78 hours in the ER just to test my blood and give me an xray. I was vomiting blood and this is how fast they react.

This is by far the WORST HOSPITAL ON THE PLANET. They lack compassion and empathy ESPECIALLY on the 14th floor liver unit. doctor Martin has been the most attentive and most respectful doctor. All other doctors like doctor Johnson have been so cruel condescending and neglectful to my father. To the patient.Examples to follow I requested a bag of ice for my dad this past weekend and not only did it take 45 minutes before I had to go to the nursing  station and ask again but then the nurse gave me the ice and told me to put it in the bags myself since she COULDNT TOUCH THE BAG What fuck kind of shit it that??? I was only there for the weekend... so I can imagine my dad was not getting cared for properly before hand.. and asking for water? Forget about it.. also none of the staff Understand that liver patients with swollen abdomens have fluid build up and pain So why arent you guys doing a damn thing about it?? You always act like oh what? Pain? This is new.. let me go check with other nurse and then NOTHING GETS DONEno procedure nothing..they just neglect you and leave you to die Awful place to be. i am so upset my father has to be in this hell hole. Reevaluate your staff because they all should go back to school and learn about to care for patients.

Most of the doctors here don’t care for your wellbeing. A lot of doctors do not believe in what the patients say and only think they want narcotics. The doctors do not explain what to do for postop after procedures. The doctors do not explain how procedures are going to be performed or what it is the patient may experience. Very rude bedside manner.

I’ll give it one start for enjoying the people complaining and fighting lol it was a great comedy show in the emergency spend 4 hours and checked out without seeing the doctor.
