In 2013 Dr Jaime Ghitelman, after several tests of my heart including intravenous and esophagus test at South Miami Hospital, recommended me to replace both of my valves Mitral and Aorta; (si fueras mi tio te recomiendo cambiarlas me dijo). Thanks to a second opinion at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston today I still have my valves intact. I'm 79 years old now and feeling well

Don’t recommend. My wife went for a tachycardia. She had to do all the follow up because at the Dr. office they keep forgetting to send the prescription, to notify the exams results etc. They kept sending bills and more bills, She even got a good diagnosis.

I've been Dr. Ghitelman's patient since 2018. As a patient that has a family history of heart disease and two ablation surgeries to fix a problem with atrial fibrillation, I have to be diligent about my check-up visits to the cardiologist. Trying to get an appointment with this doctor from the beginning has been an ordeal, then during the Covid lockdown and subsequently after he started seeing patients again it's been almost impossible to schedule an appointment. I was finally able to schedule an appointment for January of 2021 which I booked 2 months in advance, but the day before my appointment one of his staff members called me saying Dr. Ghitelman had to cancel because something came up at the hospital and he would not be able to see any patients, so I asked her when would be his next available appointment and she said he didn't have anything available at any of the offices until the end of March! Needless to say, I was extremely upset and concerned upon hearing that once again I would have to wait two more months to see my cardiologist, also extremely worried after not being able to go for my heart check up in more than one year. Both girls I spoke to at his office were very unprofessional and couldn't care less about trying to find a solution or at least try fitting me in sooner, their attitude is seriously insensitive to patients needs or concerns, they simply don't care. I am no longer this doctor's patient, I can't risk my heart health waiting so long and almost having to beg to get an appointment.
