List of Jan Pieter Hommen's Reviews
Was able to get an appointment very quickly. I was lucky there was a cancellation. The process to register was very easy. Everyone was extremely personable and professional. Dr. Hommen was not only professional, but he was extremely informative. Listened to my concerns, answered my questions. I was extremely happy with the recommendation that my primary doctor gave me.
Dr.Hommen to me is the best surgeon. I had a complete shoulder replacement and I am so Happy with it. What a success surgery. Thank you Dr.Hommen. you changed my life for the best!
In short, stay away from this Doctor. I went to see this doctor through my worker's comp to get a second opinion on a meniscus tear I had the previous year. Terrible experience. Perhaps worker's comp patients fall under a different class of patients here, but I waited about an hour while seeing everyone else passing in front of me. Then comes Dr Hommen...perhaps he was having a bad day or perhaps he doesn't like worker's comp patients, but he was just terrible. After 10 minutes hearing my story and looking at an xray he asks me what is that I hope to achieve from my recovery. Of course I say to go back where I was, doing some moderate runs and the long walks/hikes that my work requires. His response to that was that I should never run again and/or intend any long walks. I don't need things to be sugar coated, but you don't need to be rude and can say things in different ways to at least try to be a little sensitive to the patient. A pretty basic rule for any medical professional I think. This was the first time I heard this after having the injury and seeing several doctors. I was also amazed that while two other Doctors had already determined in the previous visits for the last 9 months that this injury was clearly work related, Dr Hommel was able to determine in less that 10 minutes that my injury was due to a 51% preexisting condition and 49% work related....No explanation on what the criteria or reasoning was to achieve this amazing 1% accuracy. Not sure if he has a specific agenda for worker's comp, but the reality is that his report was not considered for anything in my case. Not that I cared either because I had already been through physical therapy and all, but after this I've showed his report to two other Doctors and none understands his reasoning or why he said that. This visit was before the summer, so after following up with my original doctor I'm back at running and doing well. Just stay away from this Doctor, not a good professional...
Dr. Pieter Hommen is a great Dr. Very Professional and Honest. Staffs are great, remember your name and always smiling and they know how to have fun, Great people. The only thing especially due to Coved-19, more cleaning & sanitizing of the patients beds is needed. But as for the expertise of the Doctor, Pieter Hommen is phenomenal, great staffs. 👍❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Don’t make any appointments. Not on time, after charging you and insurance company you will be sent to physical therapy. Good luck
Dr Hommen is Great! He explained everything in detail & was friendly and professional
Dr. Hommen and his staff were very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Hommen really took his time to explain my condition with me as well as my different treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor's demeanor really put me at ease so I highly recommend him.
Dr. Hommen is the GOLD standard of how a doctor should treat his patients! I’m a returning patient but my mother came to visit me from NY and her knee was causing a lot of pain. They did not think twice and made time for her to be seen by Dr Hommen. He was incredible generous with his time. The whole staff is amazing and i would be running out of superlatives to describe each and everyone of them! Very happy to be their patient!
First of all, I have to say this is one of the few doctors office, if not the only one, that still has a live person who answers the phone when you call in. The office staff is very helpful and attentive to your needs. I saw Dr Hommen in December when I injured my knee playing football and surprisingly got in to see him within a couple of days of my injury. Dr Hommen was very polite and had very good bedside manner. He took his time explaining what could have possibly happened to my knee when I injured it. Thankfully after having an MRI, some rest and PT I'm back to feeling 100%. Thank you Dr Hommen I will be referring all my friends and family to you.
I had a full left knee replacement 9/30/19 by Dr Homen he was gentle great bed manners but the surgery he performed on me was not done right 2.5 years later my knee still swells and I’m in constant pain and discomfort using a cane taking pain meds and diclofinac. I did my therapy I’ve return to him 3-4 times to complain that something is wrong to be told everything looks fine. Others Drs have told me the left side due to surgery is shorter than right and ss security granted me disability due to this surgery. Think hard before having a knee procedure done by this Doctor. I’m having to have a costly revision done.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
