THE BEST DOCTOR

I have never had a worse experience with a doctor. I am under Doctor Karmin’s care but he has been sick and out of office so I was forced to come to this joke of a “ well- studied” man for a follow up. This doctor made me wait for 2 hours after my appointment time and gave me 5 minutes of his time to tell me he could not help me and I needed a second opinion but to go back to doing everything normally. When I let him know, at my previous appointment, a different doctor told me the same thing and I am now hurt due to his medical expertise, and that I needed to record this because I’ve already been injured due to the same advice. Clearly upset with my treatment, my anxiety was used against me for not having proper care. He quickly called security on me and refused to help me or give me any answers or care. It is funny because this doctor said he thinks that Jackson Memorial is one of the best hospitals in the country and that he was there to help me at the beginning of our appointment because I’ve “just had a bad experience” so far leading up to my appointment with him. On the way out. Dr Jose refused to tell me his name and saw it as a threat that I asked for it. When I asked for his name, because he is not my normal provider, he said “You cannot threaten me” The girls in the office were appalled by my treatment, apologized to me and tried to calm me down. The security guard who was called on me went back into the office two times to try to get my lab work but was refused. The security guard gave me the patient experience hot line and apologized for the unprofessionalism of Dr. Jose’s office. Overall, not a caring doctor. I will be reporting him to the board of University of Miami, office management, patient experience and my Doctor Karmin’s office.

I have never met a more compassionate and knowledgeable physician. He truly cares about his patients and goes out of his way, even on holidays, to check in on them. I had a massive fibroid that was so painful and Dr. Carugno squeezed me into his already jam packed schedule to not only get a pre-op consultation but then perform the surgery days later. He is the kind of physician that others should aspire to be. He is experienced, kind, and nonjudgemental. I am truly grateful for his diligence, empathy, and skills as a doctor and fellow human. He creates a safe environment for his patients

Definitely nothing like a Venezuelan doctor. How professional! That experience! I was previously with a doctor who gave me a wrong prognosis, she wanted to operate me on something that I didn't have.. And this doctor came to save me!!! Incredible his professionalism, knowledge and stop counting. Thankful that I have been with him for almost 3 years and it has been super good for me. 100% recommended.

I had the worst experience of this doctor a few years ago. I waited for 3 hours one supposedly I had 1 patient in front of me. When he got to the room never apologized for making me wait, didn’t even introduce himself, when I started telling him about my history I lost an ovary and have endometriosis he didn’t even care, told me the birth control I needed a refill for and he sent another pill to my pharmacy almost causing me an early menopause because of the sudden change in hormones from the birth control pill. I have put many complains and was never even called back. Please stay away from this doctor he shouldn’t have a license to practice

This doctor is really good, very kind and empathic. He is an amazing professional, my pregnancy control by him was a great experience And as a gyn is also excellent!

Google, could I give zero stars? My experience with this doctor was the worst experience with a doctor I ever had in my life. A c-section happy, GOD complex butcher, who not only completely ignored our birth plan but also lied that he did follow and was sarcastic about that. He transformed what was supposed to be a beautiful experience into a traumatic one. My wife has a huge and crocked cut from the c-section but at least my son is healthy. No wonder Jackson Main has 49.5% of c-sections while the US average is only 31.9%.

He is the absolute best of the best... I cannot be happier, I came from a group of doctors in Mount Sinai that gave up on my case after almost 4 years, he was so on point, clear, kind, very precise with diagnosis and treatment, I got a hysterectomy done 6 weeks ago and have been feeling no pain at all, cannot see the scars, the medical team is flawless and caring... Brilliant ! beyond my expectations ! I wish I met him before and avoid so much pain & suffering .
