I wouldn't recommend this doctor at all. Avoid him at all cost. When he prescribed me the pills, he never warned me I was supposed to be drinking at least 2 liters a water a day especially with these pills. I had two episodes that almost sent me to ER. Instead, he thought my blood pressure was too low and told me to cut the pills in half and never warned me about horrible withdraws I would have cutting both carvedilol and entresto. I had to go to ER for panic attacks and anxiety do to entresto withdraws which raised by blood pressure. Up my dosage of carvedilol assuming it was me having my blood pressure going up on its own and not the withdraw. I told him about the panic attacks and anxiety and also horrible tinnitus I was having 3 weeks after taking the pills. Ignored it all and to never blame the pills, like if they were sent from god. . . Never acknowledge any side effects I was complaining about. Call them so much he actually complaint to me I was calling too much. Never Told me the way to remove the pills was to eat right and exercise. I started exercising and eating right by removing the salt, sugar or anything fried. I lost 60 lbs. I was 220lbs and now I'm 160lbs. I lowered my pulse to the low 50's and he was forced to remove carvedilol. He never removed the other pills even though he knew I was running a mile a day already and exercising more than a regular person would. Which I find weird since no one with a heart failure can do what I use to do. Instead, he prescribes me more pills including one that was for debitives which I've never suffered from. I never took them because I realized this guy wanted me on the pills forever. Anyway, I removed all the pills by lowering the douse slowly in increments of half one by one with a 10-day buffer in between. I had horrible withdraw but this time I knew and went thru it. In short, I had a horrible experience of panic and anxiety with these pills, and no one would do anything about it. Now I'm on no pills and feel great. Pulse resting is in the low 50's sitting and in bed at 49 last time I checked. Stay away from this guy. My advice, pills did the job. But you don't want to stay in these pills. They are all drugs and just because they are legal doesn't make then good. You have to get healthy and get out of them. Cause you not having a side effect now doesn't mean you won't have it later and later your body can't live without it. Later is already too late. Stay away from doctors that are enthusiastic to prescribe you one. You never know in a country that's capitalistic if a doctor is doing it to fill his pockets. But I am not taking the chances. Stay healthy

Dr Jose L Velasquez was an excellent Cardiologist to my mom. Alwaya professional caring, took the time to listen and with great advice. I miss not seeing him here at the office. Patient Aracelia Gomez .

I came to him to get a second opinion, and boy, was I lucky. Not only was I given the correct diagnosis, but also the correct treatment. I have been Dr Velazquez's patient for two years now and couldn't be happier. Would recommend to anyone.

I called several times today, and the lady that answered the phone continued to place me on speaker phone. I called back and again she placed me on speaker phone. She was impatient and had an attitude problem. What in the world is going on with medical offices today?!? You call to schedule an appointment so you would think they would hire people that at least are required to have decent customer service skills. Apparently courtesy is a rare commodity here in Miami.
