Dr. Gjolaj performed both my lumbar fusion and now my cervical spine surgery and I wouldn't have gone with any other surgeon. His knowledge, thoroughness, patience and impeccable bed side manner make him the top physician in his field.

If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get an appointment with Dr. Gjolaj… he is one of the best, if not the best in the business! I had my surgery five years ago… my entire back, 18 screws and rods and fused, and I’m up and around like never before! Thank you Dr for saving my life as prior to the surgery, my life was painful every day!

My husband had a consult with Dr. Gjolaj and he is scheduled for scoliosis surgery with him next Tuesday, March 7th. We had an amazing experience with Dr. Gjolaj, he spent over 45 minutes with us explaining everything related to the surgery, what to expect afterwards. He is a very kind and compassionate physician with excellent bedside manners. We know that my husband will have a great surgical outcome with him as his surgeon.

The entire process was very smooth and effortless. The discussion with the doctor was direct and vivid with no confusion or doubt. I am grateful and appreciative of doctor Gjolaj.

This dr misdiagnosed me, told me that he would not do surgery because if it failed it was not "worth it" to fix it because of my insurance. I told him I was having trouble urinating and he said "you don't have that kind of problem" GUESS WHAT? I DID!!!A spine infection that necessitated emergent surgery. I could hardly walk. Guess what? Even though I took prescribed pain meds (which he said was a deal breaker) and even though I was over weight (he said was the reason for my issues) I found an amazing surgeon at the Paley Institute who saved my life and healed me. I can now live a normal life free from horrible back pain. Oh,by the way, he said all he would give me for pain was a lidocaine patch. He also said my ortho who referred me was "his friend" who sent me his way to cut me "loose" . Unbelievable. He may do surgery well but he is a cruel and scary dude. Told me to stop making him repeat himself when we asked questions. Condescending, judgemental with regard to use of pain meds, his nurse was flat out rude...RUN
