Dr. Triana treated me terribly during my last trimester and thankfully I was able to get help from the Director of Mercy hospital Maternity Unit at the time years ago. Dr Triana put me under so much distress from threatening to induce me before my due date for no medical reason whatsoever, that I ended up having a hypertensive crisis. He told me in these exact words that if I didn’t let him induce me that day, he would throw me out of his care and at 38 weeks pregnant, no doctor would take me that far in my pregnancy and I would end up having to give birth in the ER at Jackson Memorial next to a crackhead. The Director of Maternity Unit reported the incident to the Board of Obstetrics and an advocate visited me at my home to see if I wanted to follow through with the case but I regretfully let it go and I’m still triggered to this day. I was just grateful to have given natural birth to a healthy baby and blessed to have delivered with a different doctor. Dr. Triana also believes having natural delivery is “barbaric” as he describes it. If you’re reading this Dr. Triana, I have not fully recovered from the trauma and mistreatment you put me under. I hope you have found kindness in your heart to treat mothers in your care better.
