List of Juana Julien's Reviews
very bad bedside manners, the waiting is extremely long. If your appointment is at 10 your most likely to be seen that's if she gets to the office, about 5-6 hours.
Where do I begin..I made my appointment 3 months in advance and took off half a day from my job. On the day of the appointment they called me 2 hrs prior to me getting seen. Unfortunately i wasn't able to answer their call as i was at work, and every time I called back there was a busy signal. Since I already took off half a day I still drove to the office. I called them to confirm their suite number, at which point they told me that Dr. Julien had cancelled all of her appointments for the day. I told them I could reschedule but that since I was already in the parking garage asked that they validate my ticket. They told me they do not validate tickets. Needless to say, I was ticked off but rescheduled anyway for 2 Fridays from that day. The day of the rescheduled appointment came and I got yet another call while I was getting ready in the shower. I immediately called them back afterwards and was told that the doctor cancelled my appointment yet again. I laughed in her face when she offered that I get seen by her physician's assistance and told them to close my file and never contact me again. The lack of professionalism coupled with complete disregard for their client's time and money has me wondering how they can afford to stay open. Never again.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! First of all, the place is beautiful and clean. However looks can be deceiving. The doc only wants to sell you her products. Super expensive for her skin products. She claims she doesn't make money but it's soooo expensive and she's so pushy to sell you the products. I spent two hours waiting for her in the lobby and then another 45 minutes waiting in the exam room. She walked in and spent 1 minute looking at my mole and said it was ok and another 10 minutes selling me her products. She needs to focus more on patient care and less on selling. Staff is not that friendly either! I am not going back!
AWFUL!. Wait time was over 2 hours for Dr. Julien to come in and tell me I have fungus all over my body. (FYI: I have great skin and no medical issues) I went in for a yearly skin check. She recommended I do a facial wash in the morning, 3 day creams and at night another facial wash then 3 additional night creams. Guess why, these were all products that she sells in her office. This is not a surprise to me that all she wanted was to SELL, SELL, SELL. I asked her medical assistant if they uses the same products and they said no they don't. It says a lot when your own staff doesn't use your products. The only thing she recommended over the counter was lamisil (anitfungal cream) but she recommended I use it on my FACE, body, and foot! I was like what the hell is wrong with this lady. She stated that fungus is all over my body and I needed to get rid of it. I have no other issues with my body including no fungus, nor foot fungus! Never going back to her again! I heard that this doc always talks about fungus and she recommends lamisil a lot. I never thought she would say that I need it. Also i paid over $20 for parking.
First visited this office in December. Staff is competent and attentive, but a little overzealous in selling their products. Never saw the Dr. 2nd visit in January for blood work and a scrip refill. No issues, but still no doctor. 3rd visit was purposely to see the Dr. Was informed as I entered the office, along with 3-4 others, that the doctor wasn't coming in. I refused to see the PA for the 3rd time in 7 weeks without seeing the doctor (and be charged for the appointment) but requested a reschedule. The reschedule was two weeks later at 10:40a. Received a call 15 minutes before my appointment saying the doctor was delayed and could I come later in the day. I explained that I had another appointment at 3pm. Received a 2nd call at 12:05 stating that if I could get there by 12:30, the doctor could see me in plenty of time before my other commitment. So I arrived at 12:30 to find 3 other patients in the waiting room. Within 15 minutes, all 3 were taken into exam rooms. An hour later, still sitting there, I knock on the window and reception says, "They haven't called you?". Shebdidnt even know one as still there. So I left. Looking for a new dermatologist. 4 trips, never saw this one once. And I was referred by a family member of HERS to boot.
Very bad bedside manners!!! Waited over 3 hours to see her. Never coming back!!!!
Dr. Julien is the worst doctor I ever encountered. I waited for three hours until I was seen, then she rushed through a small dermatological procedure and I was left with a complication called ptosis. I went back to her office to have the ptosis condition alleviated and she refused to take any measures to manage her mistake and even blame me as a patient! Her bedside manners are unacceptable!! I had to see a neurologist to finally correct the condition. This was very distressing!!!
Wait time for patients needs improvement. Patients do not have the time to sit in a waiting room or in the back office for more than an hour when there are no or little patients in the waiting room, to begin with. The service is very good, but less selling and more patient attention would be fabulous!
This is my first visit to this Doctor, although this is not my first visit to this building. It is an edifice of professionals, mostly those in health care. There is a convenient valet service to whisk ones car away especially if running a few minutes late! These types of conveniences are useful as the Miami traffic can make even the best intentioned non tardy person stressed. Unfortunately I feel the need to comment on Dr Juana's total lack of professionalism as well as her complete lack of respect for other people's time. I arrived a few minutes late full of apology only to realize that the Dr Julien had not even entered the building! I sat, completed the paperwork as a first time patient and waited. After a half an hour, and now noticing agitated patients approaching the window I too waited my turn, then made my polite inquiry. I was told that this dear special doctor with a waiting room full of patients had not even entered the building!!! The time was now 11:45. My appointment was at 9:50. I tried to reschedule only to be informed that the next available appointment is in January 2016. My time is also very valuable and ought not to be abused by inconsiderate, inappropriate and exceedingly non professional behaviors so typical in this field. The other patient people were offered to be seen by the PA. I declined. This is unacceptable and unprofessional on so many levels. Additionally, the receptionist is rude, and offered no apology nor solution. Apparently this is common behavior by this Doctor as stated by the insipid little girl slouching in her seat. Not on my time. Oh, on top of the indecency, I have to pay five bucks plus tip, to the valet.
Went to the office of Dr. Julien to bring my 11-year old for a rash on the back of her neck. The doctor had no appointments so I had to see her assistant. She gave my daughter a complete misdiagnosis. Fortunately my mother's intuition told me something was not right and I did not give her the prescribed medication. I cannot give an opinion on the doctor as I did not see her, but I would not go back to this office again. I even sent a letter explaining what had happened and never heard back. Very beautiful office, very nice personnel, all oriented towards cosmetic, but if you are looking for good healthcare, this is not the place for you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
