I visited with Dr. Genther for a brief time several years ago. She immediately agreed to see me when other doctors wouldn't. Her experience as a neurologist helped me diagnose an even more serious condition. This condition was affecting my psyche and Dr. Genther picked up on it. My time as her patient was truly life changing as it eventually led me to life saving treatment. Aside from this, Dr. Genther was always attentive, kind and ready to offer good advice. Talk therapy with Dr. Genther was so cathartic; I always felt better after our visits. Her homework assignments were also very helpful too.

Dr Genther has literally been a life saver for my family! She was highly recommended to us by another very prominent doctor in the Miami area. I have been a patient of Dr. Genther’s for a year and a half. She was recommended to me for my anxiety and depression. With time she has guided me through many life challenges. I don’t know what I would have done without her during the recent unexpected death of my father. She continues to help me as I continue this journey. I have recommended her to my friends and family.

I met Dr. Genther at quote possibly the most difficult time of my life- I had just lost my sister, and adopted her three young children- To say that i was struggling is an understatement. Since then, I have had to navigate losing a best friend, a parent, plus all the myriad drama that comes along with child rearing with zero experience.. the list goes on. I could not have done it without Dr. Genther- although I’m sure she would say otherwise. She has helped me to discover my underlying strength and how to apply it to my life. Katherine Genther is the most professional and empathetic doctor I have ever known. Being a patient who has a serious illness that requires me to juggle a lot of medicine I have had a very hard time finding a doctor. Dr. Genther is extremely smart. She is an expert in medicine and how it effects the body. She is an expert in diseases of all kinds. She is extremely intelligent. And, and this is rare in today’s world, she or reachable. She always calls back, even on weekends. And she cares. She is the best.

Dr.Genther is a Godsend! My counselor recommended I go see a psychiatrist and mentioned I go see Katherine. At first I was reluctant as she does not accept insurance. However, after seeing her I have learned that having a great psychiatrist is worth every penny. Katherine is very attentive and ensures that you feel comfortable when speaking with her. She is also very informative and explains in a manner where you don't leave feeling confused. Besides the fact that she does prescribe medication, she makes it a point to prescribe the lowest dose possible and I truly appreciate that fact. She is a kind soul and has genuinely helped me feel 'normal' while trying to work through my post par-tum depression and chronic ptsd. If you're in the Florida Keys and need a great psychiatrist I would definitely recommend you give her a call, you won't regret it!
