Dr. Freedman is very thorough in her evaluation. She asked lots of questions and is very compassionate. The facility, Sylvester Cancer Institute is full of BS. They are full of rules and protocols that MAKE NO SENSE. I have been in the facility several times. I had a CT scan and simulation without a mask and two people in the room. Now, I need to have a COVID test because I can’t wear a mask during radiation. Nobody in the room but me. It doesn’t make sense! If they made me do it prior to CT/simulation I would say okay. But, they are so steeped in BS with NO regard for common sense.

I had a bad experience with Dr Freedman. Stage 3 Tonsil Cancer. I didn't want Chemo but I agreed to it if I would get a lower dose of radiation. She was too busy to consult until the 3rd week of treatment. Then she told me she upped the radiation dosage "out of an abundance of caution" She forgot about our conversation about chemo and refused to adjust the dosage. 1 year after treatment she felt my neck and jumped back and said she "never saw so much damage" Major complications for life

Dr Freedman was really nice. She clearly explain my diagnosis. She gave me treatment Options and allowed me to make a decision without any internal influence. She was supporting and understanding. She gave me outside materials to read to study my diagnosis.

Dr. Laura Freedman basically saved my life, in more ways than the outstanding care I received while receiving radiation for breast cancer. Dr. Freedman was the most caring, compassionate and my all around "voice of reason" during a very stressful time She always took the time to make sure I was informed and understood exactly what the procedure was. She is the most knowledgeable and dedicated physician I had the pleasure of being associated with. I would highly recommend Dr. Freedman - I will forever be thankful to her for her professionalism in keeping me alive.
