I visited the doctor last week because I was experiencing some hair loss and I had a wonderful experience. She is very professional and very knowledgeable on the topic. She took the time necessary to hear my concerns and we had a good visit about my health. I would recommend this doctor to anyone who is having similar issues.

She may be an amazing doctor, but you must be prepared to wait at least 1 -2 hours (mostly on the 2 hour mark). Clearly something isn't working in the practice when you get there and the staff are so non-chalant about the waiting time. I spoke to 3 other people who have gone to her and said she sees you in like 4 minutes. Clearly she is over scheduling in order to maximize her slots and her bonus. When I asked the staff why don't they call people if there is more than a 90 minute wait, they just said "it's like this every day". I explained that many many people do not have the privilege of having jobs that allow them extended time off and are hourly paid. The staff could have cared less. She may be amazing but the administration of the office is a complete and utter disaster. It's worst than any third world physician's office.

Scheduled an appt with Dr Miteva after noticing substantial hair loss. She was very thorough in her exam and was able to explain treatment options that worked.

When I look at these reviews, I must say they are all accurate. After being told there was close to a 2 hour wait without an apology, I was a bit shocked. The waiting room isn't even big enough to accomodate the 18 patients waiting. They said this is the way it is ALWAYS. Clearly she is maximizing her slots to maximize her bonus at UM. You cannot treat patients this way and expect them to return.

My wife had a great experience with Dr. Miteva. She was kind, thorough and explained everything in detail. We will definitely be seeing her again even though I live 1.5 hours away.

Dr. Mariya MIteva has been my dermatologist for about a year. She specializes in diseases and issues related to the scalp and hair, When I first came to her I was very despondent regarding my autoimmune issues which impacted my hair growth for several years. Not only would my hair not grow, but it was consistently thinning and was dull and lifeless. Dr. Miteva prescribed an excellent protocol of medications, hair products and regiments which resulted in a head of hair I can now be proud of. Her ability to regulate and modify my treatment all contributed to this success. Dr. MIteva has wonderful bedside manner. She is a kind and caring doctor who makes herself available when you need her and answers your emails in a timely manner. She is also open and receptive to your own suggestions when you feel something you have read about or researched could improve the success of your hair growth. I would highly recommend this excellent professional.
