MIchelle Powell's Online Review Report Card

First time saw physician assistant who was in a hurry to go home cause they scheduled me on Christmas Eve. I was even asked who would come to the doctor on Christmas Eve and I responded sick people. Second visit asked to see the doctor hoping it will make a difference they were over booked waited 2 hours to get in a room than the doctor didn't take time to listen to all my concerns cause she still had a office full of people and it was closing time.

I love Dr. Michelle Powell. She helped save my life in more ways than one. She is a great listener, honest, empathetic, friendly, hardworking, and compassionate.

I only had one visit, but the staff was extremely kind and friendly. I felt in good caring hands. The nurse practitioner made me feel like an old friend and the assistant was efficient and kind. I am very happy to have found this office and that they are part of my insurance group.

Horrible service the staff is rude. She do not follow up with appointments and the wait is long. My overall experience at Dr. Powell office is just horrible. I do not recommend Dr. Powell to anyone seeking a medical doctor.

As a future black healthcare professional, I wanted to so desperately receive care from a black provider as I understand what it means to have nurturing, honest, and patient-centered care. While Dr. Powell was absolutely amazing and thorough, her office staff are terrible. It’s been a little over a year since I’ve last stepped foot in her office and I don’t regret leaving her practice. Her front staff are beyond rude, inattentive, and unprofessional. I still unfortunately remember the unpleasant encounters I had at the front desk and even way after not deciding to go back to the practice, the encounters I had with the billing team (or person should I say) too. I have a new provider now. It’s safe to say, the level of care I have not only with the provider but the office/supporting staff is a complete 180 from what I once dealt with. I no longer have to worry about being billed incorrectly, blown veins from blood being drawn, and staff who just don’t care. I sincerely wished practices knew the front desk is what leave the first impression. It takes the whole practice: MDs, NPs, MAs, receptionists, etc. to ensure a patient feels welcome and heard.

I met Dr. Powell in 2012 and I can say without reservation that Dr. Powell and her team are by far the best medical team I have ever had the pleasure of being attended by. At the end of the day medicine is an art. Having said that Dr. Powell could be counted among one of the greatest of artists when it comes to her practice of medicine. I am blessed to have been attended to by her and her team.

Been a patient of Dr Powells for more then ten years.Dr Powell has always maintained a professional and caring attitude towards my needs. She has gone beyond office hours to address my concerns making sure that my needs are attended to. I am forever grateful more so during these hectic times with Covid.Thank you Dr Powell for your caring demeanor, attentiveness and above all your professionalism in addressing your patients needs.

When you find a doctor you trust & really care for their patients you stay. I’ve been through a lot, however being under the care of Dr, Powell made a tremendous improvement in my health.

If I could give this office zero stars I would...Horrible doctors office,EXTREMELY long wait times,front desk staff is incompetent,not to mention YOU CAN NEVER GET THROUGH TO THE FRONT DESK WHEN YOU CALL.THEY HAVE SO MANY EXCUSES.They were suppose to electronically send my husband's prescription to the drugstore and they never did..my husband had to come back to the office the next day while he was sick to pick up the prescription ..I could go on and on.. why are they still in business is the question?. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!

I was recommended to Dr. Powell by my trainer for genetic testing. Her staff was not familiar with her programming and I was given the run around before finally being seen. I paid for my labs in February 2020 and I was told my results would be available in a month. I called in March and was told they weren’t in yet. I tried again in April and was told they were delayed because of covid. Although, my results should have already been back, as we weren’t quarantined until mid-March. Long story short, several phone calls later with rude front desk assistants, I am out of $150 with no lab results. No apologies. All I got was “it’s not our fault, it’s the lab.” “We don’t do refunds.” This practice doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Stay clear. Terrible customer service and overall bad business.
