List of Mohamed Sayed's Reviews
I had cataract surgery in both eyes with Dr. Sayed at New Vision. I am extremely impressed by my experience with him and his team. He used the newest and most advanced type of lenses in my eyes, which extends my range of vision while avoiding the drawbacks of multifocal lenses. I am now glasses-free for the first time in more than 50 years. Highly, highly recommended.
Poor results...monster ego, zero listening skills!
My husband is a current patient of Dr. Mohamed Sayed at New Vision Eye Center in Vero Beach. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found a glaucoma specialist of his super caliber to provide state of the art surgical care for my husband's severe glaucoma. Dr. Sayed is an intelligent, knowledgeable and enthusiastic physician as well as being a highly skilled surgeon with stellar credentials. We trust him to provide the best eye care available and we give him our highest possible recommendation.
Caring, competent physician and surgeon. Top notch staff and technology. Happy with my care.
Superb. I was referred to Dr. Sayed by my optholmologist for having high blood pressure in the eye after a complicated surgery. Dr. Sayed examined me throughly and spent so much time evaluating my eyes. He then laid out all my options and explained all to me and we decided on a treatment plan together. I highly recommend Dr. Sayed for his knowledge, care, bed side manner, expertise, and skill
I only regret not having taken my cataracts out by Dr. Sayed much sooner to save myself years of poor vision, dimness, and glare. 6 months later, I can only compare the vision I have now to the vision I had in my glorious 20s (some several decades ago!). I am glad I managed to be under Dr. Sayed’s expert care while he was still in Naples. Patients in the Miami area are now lucky to have him.
I was followed by Dr. Sayed for glaucoma. He did laser surgery and my eye pressure came down. He helped me avoid cutting surgery, which would’ve been very difficult at this stage of my life. I also got off 2 of my glaucoma medications. I have been told by other glaucoma specialists that cutting surgery was the only option for me and that laser surgery would not work. Dr. Sayed was however confident that laser surgery would help, and oh it did. Thank you Dr. Sayed for your knowledge, reassuring bed side manner and expertise!
I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Dr. Sayed. I cannot recommend him enough for any eye care task or eye surgery
I have had combined cataract and glaucoma tube shunt surgery in both eyes by Dr. Sayed (or Dr. Mo as he likes to be called) after having been turned down by a few surgeons for the complexity of my surgery. I am so sad to learn he is moving his practice to Miami. Unfortunately Bascom Palmer Naples does not have another glaucoma specialist as of now, let alone someone of Dr. Mo's caliber.
Seems like a nice man, however he does not focus on the problem I have, which is glaucoma. He spent a few seconds looking into my eyes at the latest appt, did not do any testing and informed me he was leaving Bascom Palmer this summer and they did not have a glaucoma specialist to replace him at this time. He suggested I make an appt with their optometrist a few months from now. I had to ask him how my eyes were doing. Now I will have to find another glaucoma specialist to treat my glaucoma (probably for the best anyway). He left the room abruptly without saying goodbye and an assistant came into the room and told us "you are done - you can leave". (Kind of like a bouncer in a bar - LOL). One of the strangest encounters I have ever had during a visit to a doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
