actually, haven't seen him in decades but he is by far the most compassionate, caring, and concerned doctor I have ever seen for my neurological issues,over these past decades. I had reason to look up his name to see what it meant, related to something I am writing, and was very pleasantly surprised to see the meaning described his perfectly:treasure sweetheart, darling. perfect description. the world knew what it was doing when it called him "Schatz" I only wish he was still here up north.

Dr. Schatz is one of the most compassionate doctors that I have encountered. I have an ultra-rare autoimmune disorder and even though Dr. Schatz retired a couple of years ago he promised that he’d be at my appointments for as long as he’s able. And he has held true to his promise! He is highly respected by his colleagues and is regarded as THE best neuro-ophthalmologist. I was referred to Dr. Schatz by my doctor after my diagnosis because he wanted me to be in the best possible hands that I could be in. The four hour drive is worth every minute to be in the care of Dr. Schatz.

Is an angel. He saw me since 2010 and save me from my brain tumor in my optical nerve. He guide me to all differents specialist that i need and is the best person that I know. Can’t say anything bad. Best of the best.

After a year of treatment from another ophthalmologist, who couldn't figure out my problem, I was referred to Dr. Schatz. He diagnosed my problem immediately and took the time to answer all my questions. He is extremely kind and caring and has a wonderful sense of humor.

Dr, Norman Schatz is a detailed oriented, brilliant,kind and humorous physician. I am blessed to have him as my physician and he will be my physician for the rest of my life.
