Dr Acebal acted quickly and save my mother 85 yrs old. She fell and fractured her lt parietal skull. Craniotomy done 8-4-2022 Mercy hospital mid October was discharged from Christine Lynn Rehab JMH. Thank you!!

Le debo la vida al Doctor Acebal, por más de 8 1/2 meses entre y salí de hospitales, hasta que di con el Dr Acebal, descompensado, no caminaba apenas, bajo analgésicos...Me operó, al abrir los ojos, no más dolor, no más sufrimientos. Es un ángel.

My mom was seen by this Doctor at Kendall regional hospital after her car accident. My mom suffered a C2 fracture, and was written on her discharge papers for a follow up appt with this office. My mom was in the hospital for 3 days. Long story short, my mom is part of Leon medical center and has PIP insurance. After several weeks of waiting for the appt, they finally gave the appt. Well today the day before the appt, the staff members asked for a letter from the insurance company stating that the 10k is still available so they can bill. So we called the insurance and the insurance stated they cannot provide that letter and have never provided that letter, but sent a very generic email stating the coverage my mom had. Also they needed me to get the scans and x rays from Leon because they would not request it directly, stating I had to get them and bring them. Furthermore, I asked them if I could send them an email with what the insurance sent and they said they can only fax, I sent the fax and got everything from Leon. Now the staff member says that they the letter is not good enough. When asked why, she said that they need to say that the 10k is still available. I told her that my mom spent 3 days in the hospital and common sense says that is gone. She says it doesn’t work that way. She said it’s who bills first, so I told them you bill first when my mom gets there. She again said it doesn’t work that way, then tells me either way we don’t take that insurance. And who will I bill. I explained to her that my mom is a member of Leon Medical you can bill them. She again said no! This office is a joke. I come to find out that the issue is that give issues to members of Leon Medical, because the doctor used to be a doctor for Leon. Let’s just say I cancelled the appointment and will never recommend this office!
