Horrible doctor

In 4-5 visits I've never waited less than a half hour and today we waited 2 hours to see the Doctor. Our child was diagnosed as a baby with laryngomalacia, and were told it normally resolves on it's own by around age 2 age. After a few visits at around 2 years, I was told his condition seemed to have resolved and the remaining symptoms were likely allergies and was prescribed a nasal spray. When I insisted they scope him to confirm it has in fact resolved, they discovered it actually hadn't resolved and then recommended surgery. When Dr Younis did the surgery on our son's neck and throat at Jackson and we were given almost no information regarding preparation, the procedure or his recovery. The Dr office told us we'd get more info a few weeks before the procedure from them or Jackson hospital but neither called, so we contacted them 2 weeks out and they told us the other would be in contact the week of the procedure. Again neither called, so a few days before the surgery we contacted them and were confirmed for the day and time and given arrival instructions. The day of the procedure, which we expected to be outpatient because noone told us otherwise, we learned it would be an overnight stay. After the procedure, we were left in the surgery waiting room while our 2 y/o son was transferred to a recovery room in the adjacent building, Jackson's PICU department. Only when we asked were we told that the procedure was done and that our son had been moved elsewhere. When we got to the recovery room we found our son unsurprisingly scared and crying from pain, we were told his patient information hadn't transferred from the Surgery center system to Jackson's PICU system, so they weren't able to give him any treatment or medication for his pain. Overall the experience with the Dr's office and facility was a complete mess. The only reason I didn't give a single star was because his nurse staff has always been very kind and he seems to be respected for his medical expertise, but the office organization, punctuality, communication and the Drs bedside care was generally lacking.

Recently had surgery with this amazing doctor , very happy with his experience and the fact that he was able to find the problem right away and come up with a solution was nice , he explained everything very well I had a good impression and felt that I could trust his expertise , very good work on my surgery you can tell was made with care and the intention to do it well , my recovery is going very well , very attentive, friendly , caring and I am looking forward to finals results in a few month , the process was smooth and I am happy with the results , post surgery visit very happy with the news and when he removed the strips tape I was scared by I knew he was going to gently remove them and that was the case . Highly recommend this doctor 🙏

I have nothing but the best experience with Dr . Younis he is incredibly talented, very companionate and most importantly provides great diagnostic . He had trained numerous doctors that are also very knowledgeable and very professional. At first , we went to Dr.Singer in Hollywood and my son got diagnosed with tonsils and adenoids and it needed to be removed. Two more independent doctors diagnosed the same. When it comes to surgery or the best specialists or the hardest cases, you always choose UM. If you are in care of Dr. Younis consider yourself extremely lucky . From the initial appointment to surgery nothing but the best experience and we are looking for fast recovery. I am only writing this review to hopefully help others if you are hesitating. If the doctor is great you will probably don’t find any reviews because he doesn’t need it or you keep best for yourself. If you are hesitant or looking for second opinion, I encourage you to make an appointment and see for yourself.

The best team and very knowledgeable doctor I just wish I knew of him earlier

BEWARE: Since this doctor operates out of UM, you will get additional bills. The doctor bills you for performing services and UM hospital bills you for having them done at their facility - ridiculous. Also, doctor is not helpful at all. He looks at you, sits down and writes you prescriptions then leaves the room without explaining or asking you anything. Waste of time and money.

My experience was incredible. Dr. Younis' staff was super attentive. He was knowledgeable and had amazing bedside manner. I would recommend him to everyone.
