List of Richard B. Simon's Reviews
Dr. Simon has zero bedside manner, I could deal with it if I knew he was a good doctor. I took my 4 year old to see him because I was sure she could not see well. He spent, I am not exaggerating, 5 minutes with her and declared she "is fine, mom!". I was not satisfied and took her to another doctor. He found my child had a sever problem and gave her glasses. When she received the glasses and put them on she declared how clear the world was, no thanks to Dr. Simon!
I have been a patient of Dr. Simon for more than 30 years...being treated for major retinal re-attachment, and cataract surgery on both eyes. He is a major, top professional in Ophthalmology and I trust him with my sight, without reservation... Dr. Alan S. Altman, Ed.D. The staff at Doctor Simon's office is extremely unprofessional. They informed me right before seeing the doctor that I would have to pay $190 for the visit because my insurance wouldn't cover it. Normally doctos' offices notify you of this when you make the appointment or when they call to confirm. Never going there again.
I have been a patient of Dr. Richard Simon for the last 15 years. I only have sight in one eye due to a condition from birth. Dr. Simon's has been very patient and supporting, always taking the time to answer my question and concern. Because of cataracts on my good eye he explained to me all the pros and cons of my situation and the risk in a surgery, no just in one visit but on various ocation . Went I made the decision to go ahead with the surgery he took the time to review all possible consequences related to my condition. The surgery has been a success. After many years, I'm 66 (today is my B-Day) I'm able to read, drive without classes. A big change in my life. This has been a very positive change in my life My surgery was performed September 25, 2019. Thanks to God and to Dr. Simon.

I have to agree with the one star review below. Dr. Simon was incredibly rude, cutting me off in the middle of questions. I had been in this office a while ago and had been told one thing about my condition but what the doctor told me this time conflicted with their previous statements. I won't go back.
Dr. Simon is the best ophthalmologist ever. He is patient and walks you through all the procedures. The staff are enjoyable and delightful. Dr. Simon in my opinion is the perfect eye doctor.
Excellent doctor. For 65 years wore glasses and now have perfect vision.
I have been Dr. Simon's patients for more than 14 years. I had an eye surgery few year ago and everything was excellent from the Doctor to the post surgery appointments in his office. In addition I have called for appointment due to an emergency and I have been seen the same day and treated like a V.I.P. patient. The office staff is friendly and make you feel as if you were at home. I trust him and follow his recommendation.
I am never going back to that office again, saw the doctor for about 4-5 minutes. i couldn't even properly ask him any questions without him being rude. i will go and find another doctor who is more caring and willing to listen to my medical condition.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
